JUST INCREDIBLE: Jarvis went 1-2 with a 7.91 ERA, twelve walks, and fifteen strikeouts over 19-1/3 innings in five starts during April. Since the calendar flipped to May, Jarvis is 6-1 with a 2.44 ERA, 21 walks, and 84 strikeouts over 62-2/3 innings in eleven starts. On Monday, he matched his single-game high as a pro for innings pitched and strikeouts. Winners of 5 in a row, High-A Wisconsin faces South Bend on the road and has RHP Israel Puello making his 2nd start since joining the team (5 IP, 1 run, 3 hits, 7 Ks in 1st start). 1B Ashton McGee is enjoying July baseball (7-for-17 with 3 homers in 4 games):

Biloxi’s dropped 5 consecutive games, but gets 2 core players back from extender absences tonight in Montgomery: CF Sal Frelick and 2B Gabe Holt. Starting RHP TJ Shook will strive to repeat his last gem (5 IP, zero runs, 2 hits, 5 Ks):

The Mudcats have a tall task facing 23 yo 6'4" 220 talented lefty Tommy Sommer. He is fresh off an award-winning June. They had several big swings and misses in the top of the first and ultimately hit three weak groundouts. Figueroa takes the hill to try and match for Carolina.

In other news, how about a walk to Brice Turang and then a two-run bomb from Tyler White? That will do. We'll write that into the scoring column baby. 3-0 and the Sounds are still batting.

Low-A Carolina aims for a 6th straight victory, with RHP Jefferson Figueroa (4 IP, zero runs, 1 hit, 5 Ks in last appearance) starting at Kannapolis tonight. C Jeferson Quero comes in with a 7-game hitting streak:

The AAA Sounds look for a 5th straight win, this time on the road at Columbus with RHP Dylan File (4.42 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, 7.1 K/9 in 71 1/3 innings) getting the start. LF Abraham Almonte has homered in 3 consecutive games to lift his season OPS to .962:

This is the best version of Dylan File - or at least best two-inning stretch - I've seen all season. Just dealing. Great mix of heat, off-speed (primarily slider and curve), and pace. He has struck out 5 of 6 ?. This against a team who came into this series the most potent offense in the International League. Let's GO, Dylan!!! Love it.

Through three innings in South Bend and Israel Puello continues to tell us he is happy with the promotion: 3 scoreless, 1 hit, 1 k innings. What a start to his High-A career. We're still knotted at 0-0.

Jakson Reetz just crushed a two-run double to give the Shuckers an early 2-0 lead. Let's just go ahead and get that OPS above 1.100 Jakson and put the naysayers back in the closet eh? My goodness. At this point, it's silly.

Figueroa had retired the first 10 batters of the game (4 Ks), before giving up a walk and 3 line drive hits, so the Mudcats suddenly trail 3-0. Tough setback.

Sounds now lead 8-0 heading to the bottom-half of the sixth. I'm telling you, I don't think I've seen a pitcher work faster (anywhere) than Dylan File is tonight. He's consistently tossing to home plate with 10-11 seconds on the pitch clock. Wild!

TJ Shook doing his best to keep Biloxi playing like 2022 Shuckers gave up the 1-0 grand salami. SHuckers now trail 5-4 here in the third inning and the Biscuits are still batting.

With men on the corners, Joey Wiemer harmlessly flies out to right field. An 0-3 night so far for the slumping Wiemer - no strikeouts, however. Let's hope the Shuckers can find something, anything, to win a game in Montgomery. Meanwhile, in South Bend, the Cubbies put up two more runs off Matulovich and the T-Rats now trail 3-0. Mudcats trailing 5-0. It's going to be the Sounds having to maintain their 8-0 lead so we can see a victory tonight at present.

2 of 3 Mudcats hit on the evening and his 10th HR of the season now. Add his ninth stolen base of the year to boot. With Wiemer slumpin' and slumpin' he's making more and more arguments to be considered widely the number one prospect. Incredible at his age. Truly incredible. Sky is the limit.

Do you think Cam Robinson is amped to get his first action for Biloxi? How about a first pitch cannon bean ball? ?

Welcome to Biloxi, Cam! You're going to fit in great with the Shuckers' relief staff. ?

He follows up with two punch outs and a fly out. Because, well, he's Cam Robinson and he's a gull dern STUD.
