It was Series Finale time in Zebulon as the Mudcats took on the Down East Wood Ducks. RHP Carlos Rodriguez looked to get back to his dominant form:

Here’s a little taste from their 5-run 5th.

Mudcats win 7-3 and move back to 0.500 ball at 45-45.

RHP Freddy Peralta took the mound for a couple of innings right off the ‘Bats’ and saw a successful outing overall - including a strikeout swinging and looking to close his day of work!

All told, the Sounds are trailing 9-5 late. Two more innings to mount a comeback.

Peeks at Box: “The rapid deterioration of 2022 Josh Lindbolm continues.”

Wisconsin trails 1-0 in the 6th inning as LHP Antoine Kelly took to the Hill to start Game 1 of a Beloit double header:

And it certainly looks like Antoine had another dominant outing:

Wake up T-Rats bats! Wake up and seize the day!

*Just a quick reminder, Game 2 will take place (typically 30 minutes after Game 1’s) and RHP Justin Jarvis remains the scheduled Starter.

It appears that the Dominican Summer League's All-Star Game was today, with three Brewer prospects making appearances: 17-year old switch-hitting OF Luis Lara, 18-year old left-handed hitting 1B/OF Yeison Perez and 17-year old LHP Wande Torres. The game ended in a 6-6 tie

AA Biloxi hosts Pensacola in the rubber match of their 3-game series. OF Garrett Mitchell has a 14-game on-base steak (including rehab games). 25-year old RHP Carlos Luna (5.07 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, 9.7 K/9 in 65 2/3 innings) gets today’s start:

Why Wande Torres?  He's 0-3 with a 5.4.8 ERA.  Osbriel Mogollon would have been a better choice with a 1.21 ERA

Depending on when the teams were picked he had been having a good season but his last two outings have been kind of train wrecks

INF Cam Devanney is really solidifying himself as a prospect. 3-for-3 tonight - all productive plate appearances - single, sac fly, single, 2-run homer (15th of the year). 4 RBIs.

Just an unbelievable season of absolutely seizing his moment and running with it. So wonderful to witness. He’s put on some meaningful strength too. He looks the part and has the frame and body to hold onto this.
