Triple A hitting coach thinks Mitchell needs a little more time down there

https://www.mlb.com/news/sal-frelick-making-case-for-mlb-callup-in-2022

I don't challenge this whatsoever. And, Frelick has hit at every level. I'm simply saying, from an impact vantage point and given his defense and speed, Mitchell (in my eyes) is the best of an amazing bunch right now. I would also be completely unsurprised if they elevated Ruiz. OR, honestly, kept them all down there. It's a toss up. Whoever gets the call, may they prosper and kick butt.

Who is Mark A talking to behind home plate there?

Not sure. But I believe that guy sits there for all Dodger games.

Please no more Yelich vs LHP.  He sucks against LHP.  Basically an auto out.  Hiura would be a better option against LHP.

Yelich 659 ops vs Lefties

Hiura 560

It’s funny that we simultaneously try to delay prospects coming up and also look to trade them away before they reach free agency. If we’re going to trade them in year 4, what difference does it make if we get that “extra year”?

If they can help the major league team win games they should be up.

So true. It is laughable how they handle things on this front. You basically as a fan have to hope they come up and are pretty mediocre because if they are good they are going to be shipped out. If the Bucks had let Giannis walk because he's too good it would have killed the franchise. Baseball should take note.

I will take it as Yelich barely ever lifts a ball against LHP.  He grounds out more against LHP.  I wouldn’t be surprised if Yelich drops below Hiura’s OPS line against lefties by the end of the year.

First off they don’t trade everyone.

2nd if you don’t get the extra year then you don’t even get 4 before you trade them.

extra year of control is important in baseball……especially for small market teams.

I know it sucks……nobody likes it…..but it is what it is.

Caratini now 1 for his last 25……woof

Catcher and CF have to be changed next year.

Way to much $$$ for way to little production.

Feliciano is what 25 at this point?? Been up and coming for years. Give the kid a shot. Seems like he can catch and throw from what we have seen.

It's wild that Freddy Freeman is basically making what Yelich is getting for 3 less years.

And he is probably worth it.

Was Strelzecki dude hurt?? Why did we make this pitching change?? I don't understand.

Gotta save arms, no possible way your 6th best reliever can pitch two innings.
