that was a dumb call on 4th down... and 3rd down.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

game might have turned out differently had Watson caught that bomb or they converted on 4th and goal. Won't say I'm not concerned though

everyone posting that they saw this coming should post their predictions for the rest of the season today... not after the season is over

Two years in a row MLF treated the first game of the season as a scrimmage, and he's hoping it won't bite him in the butt again, obviously.  Like someone else said, it's not like home field advantage did the Packers any favors last year, so it's not like should matter.

It's even more inexcusable this year because you're playing the hated Vikings. Kind of a big game where I'm from.

I honestly had more expectations for the Brewers this year (division win and first round exit) and they won't even reach that to mention i. The offense is going to miss Adams hugely and who knows if Bakh will even come back. I'd say 11-6, second in NFCN and lose in the first round.

Love looked pretty good. Start him :)

Or the game. Apparently MLF didn't learn his lesson from the 38-3 curb stomping last year in week 1 and refused to give his starters any playing time in the preseason. Add to that their #1 receiver and two best OL are out and this doesn't look good at all.

Called it.

9-8 no playoffs. Guetty not signing any FA receivers or OL is similar to Stearns not signing or trading for any batting help.

Or maybe Gute should've had the foresight to see that losing Davante after his contract was up was a real possibility and drafted one of those wide receivers in the first round in that rich WR draft instead of using it on a backup quarterback.

I think there is enough talent to at least compete for a playoff spot. AR is still pretty damn good.

I might take a week or 2 but baring injury they will still be decent.

I still worry about the safetys. Amos is getting old and Savage is just not very good.

Wonder if Douglass could eventually be a safety?
