I don’t believe the bolded part for a second.

I would happily let Stearns walk if we were upgrading with Luhnow or Hart but no I am not excited whatsoever to see Matt Arnold as the top decisionmaker.

Hart is a dinosaur. Might as well see what Doug Melvin is up to if you're going to go that route.

As alluded to by other posters, Luhnow has his fair share of skeletons.

You might want to admit I was right but I doubt you will do so.

And what exactly were you right about? That Stearns wanted out? Sure. But that wasn't your entire argument was it? Rather, it was that Stearns was rushing to leave and so was making moves that would sacrifice the team's long-term future. You were certainly wrong about that.

Also, should I bring up how you repeatedly mocked me earlier this year when I suggested that the Phillies were a good team? I think we can safely say now that they're a good team, given that they're playing in the World Series tomorrow night.....

Yes you were proven right about the Phillies just as I was proven right that Stearns was as good as gone. See how easy it is to admit you were wrong like I just did.

I was mocked by several people immediately after starting this thread yet a week or so later I was proven correct yet not one person can admit they were wrong as I just did regarding the Phillies.

Again, you didn’t just say that Stearns was ”as good as gone”. You consistently said throughout the course of the season that Stearns was as good as gone AND that he was actively sabotaging the team and compromising our long-term prospects as a result. That’s why you were mocked, and  should still be mocked, especially considering your new-found conspiracy theory that Stearns was telling Eppler what moves to make for the Mets during the season.

I was wrong about Stearns leaving. And so were the insiders I was largely basing my opinion on, such as Robert Murray.

You stated that he was advising the Mets while serving as the Brewers POBO.

You not only inferred, but suggested that he couldn't be trusted with the Brewers IF this were his last year.

On top of that, you're going back and re-writing what you said in the original posts...whithout...ACTUALLY re-writing it. You never said he was "as good as gone." You said;

Quote

We cannot let this guy run the team through the 2023 season knowing he is gone after the year. As professional as he has been we must not trust the future of the franchise to an executive who plans on leaving.

You've been beating this drum for a year. Yet when confronted with the facts...that he was very responsible and protective of the Brewers future(arguably to a fault).

Yes you were proven right about the Phillies just as I was proven right that Stearns was as good as gone

THIS WASN'T WHAT YOU WERE MOCKED ABOUT!

The conspiracy theories in which he was actively working to undermine the Brewers by giving advice to one of their primary competitors this year...throughout the year, and that he couldn't be trusted without a contract. Well...you said the same things last year before we found out this WASN'T the final year of his contract.
