Knock on wood but the offense is actually starting to look competent.

That's what happens when you show even an inkling of commitment to the running game.

The box score is bizarre. Jones with 130 yards and an 8 yard average, Dillon averaging over 5 yards. Rodgers has 82 yards and is 12/16.

It feels like they could have given themselves a CHANCE just by committing to 45 carries. At this point it was worth a try.

The difference between one of the best teams and the Packers is immense. Also Gutsy really screwed up this off-season by not picking up even an average WR.

He had absolutely no plan in replacing Adams that he should've been aware of that possibility a couple years ago.

They Packers passed on significant draft compensation in trade capital and are paying Aaron Rodgers $50M dollars a year to hand the ball off to Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon because it's the best offense we have because our pass protection is terrible and we didn't do anything to address the departure of Davante Adams.

What an asanine use of resources.

not blaming the refs whatsoever but they are doing the Packers zero favors

Yes in that he should have been developing more WR depth behind Adams, absolutely.  But if you mean he should have been prepared for the guy never indicating before last offseason that he wanted to leave and would turn down our ludicrous contract offer, then no, I give him a pass on that.

Front office played chicken with the attempt to resign Davante and boy oh boy did they lose big. First, all they had to do was give the dude what he was asking for 1 year early and it would have been a bargain compared to today's prices. Second, by waiting until he hit FA they had ticked him off enough he wanted out and refused to consider coming back. Good job guys.

Yes and no. Amari Rodgers was part of that plan and he is awful, so that is on Gute. MVS was no superstar but I'm not sure they could really afford to lose him after losing Adams. And the Adams extension talks had stalled for a while so it was definitely a reality that he was going to want out, fair to put it on Gute.

I'm glad they didn't sign Adams personally. They'd probably be decent right now but it's another huge contract for an aging vet.

WR is a problem. I don't think it's the only problem. Pick a spot on the team besides Aaron Jones and it's basically a problem right now.

Yosh Nijman had been abused at times tonight

Same with Tom. Gutey add offensive line to the list of draft picks next draft.

Adams was coming toward the end of his contract. Rodgers is not a spring chicken and was hinting at retirement. Why would Adams want to stay? Gute could've traded up in the draft to get a Jefferson or a Chase or a Devonta Smith. Instead he traded up for a backup quarterback.

They don't have enough draft picks to cure what ails this team.

If you would have told me that we would run for 200 yards tonight and pick off Josh Allen twice, I'd have assumed we were in the game, not down by 17.

do they track yards allowed after contact? because I'm guessing the Packers would rank poorly.
