Odd thought & the game thread may not be the best place to post it but …

It seems that Counsell will not re-sign as Brewers manager once his contract expires so he can watch his sons play next year

I wonder if Murphy might pinch hit for a year as a placeholder for Counsell should he want to return in 2025

Sigh. I hope not but it’s certainly possible.

I saw Counsell’s younger son play this evening for Whitefish Bay high school.

I think Burnes allowed only two hits and gave us a shutout through 6.  Not bad when he didn't have his best control.

TGItR (Thank God it's the Royals)

I love Counsell & hope he manages the Brewers for another decade - but he appears to be pondering some family time after this season - which I respect

Counsell steps away from baseball, Brewers hire Mike Schildt as manager and troll the Cardinals for the next decade.

Ok, I think I threw up in my mouth a little...

The stuff of nightmares. You want 162 games of post game interviews having to stare at Molina's face?

Brewers could have put this away numerous times.   Cripes

2-10 runners in scoring position and the 1st was an infield hit by Yelich. The woes continue.  At least they are getting some walks in.

How high does he hold his bat?

Nothing unusual.

Definitely. If he chooses to spend time with his family, more power to him.

So I take it Adames was thrown out at 2b after rounding it too far?

Kinda nuts to go bases loaded no outs hit 2 consecutive singles before a gidp and only score 2 runs.
