Wehrle gives up a rising liner to CF (103 mph off the bat) but it hangs long enough so Lara can charge it and get the first out. He then walks the next batter on four pitches - none of them close. This is only the second SVO for Wehrle so this is a big opportunity for him.

Can you give me a comp for Lara? I'm thinking what they'd hoped Robles would be when he was coming up?

2019 Robles was an outstanding CFer. I'm mostly watching Wisconsin and then I stream AA. So I'm not seeing Lara beyond the hype(which is gaining steam).

Bizarre timing given the usual Monday off day, but obviously well deserved.

Clearly well deserved. I just thought at this point, they'd let him play it out in Biloxi and then you give him the two months in AAA, see how that goes to start next year. This definitely suggests to me that they're considering putting him on the 40 man sooner than later and possibly part of the 28 in Sept.

This team is gonna be so fun to watch when you've got Chourio, Wiemer, Frelick, Turang, Black, Mitchell...Quero is an athletic catcher(Contreras for that matter can move pretty well for a catcher). Yelich is gonna be one of the slow guys! 23 SBs this year in 25 attempts and we're talking about moving the guy to 1B!

Blistering Thyago Vieira throws 9 pitches 99-100+ mph to the first 4 batters in the top of the 9th inning, but a strikeout-wild pitch on a 92mph slider extends the inning. Thankfully he escaped with a scoreless frame. Still 7-6.

Sounds have Jahmai Jones, Tyler Black and Keston Hiura due up to tie it or walk it off. C’mon men!!

Payton Henry battled, fouling off 4 pitches, but flies out to right field to end it. Sounds fall 7-6 and lose the series 4-2.

I hope Hiura’s okay after being hit-by-pitch with 2 outs in the 9th inning.

Have you noticed him getting closer to the batters box the last few weeks? An absurd increase in the number of HBP's he's had
