So, they hit 3 or 4 grounders that find grass. It happens. Betts dunks one into LF that can't be caught because it isn't hit well enough. That happens too. But ALL in one inning? I'd love to get my hands on the dead chicken that Dave Roberts was waving around in the 6th. The undertone of all that, of course, is we would've lost anyway. Monasterio has been a Godsend but the bad throw just opened everything up.

Offensively, maybe they lost the battle but won the war, looking at Santana. Barreling up balls from both sides of the plate is pretty impressive. I'd put Frelick in front of him, after he sits vs the lefty tomorrow.

Watching the game I wasn’t feeling like the Dodgers were that lucky until the game was pretty much out of reach. The first 3 runs in the 6th inning were a result of:

Montaserio’s throwing error that opened the door.

Muncy’s sharply hit ground ball into RF

Martinez’s very hard hit RBI double into the gap in left center.

Hernadez’s sharp ground ball through the drawn in infield that drove in 2 runs. That ball would probably have been an out with the infield back, but I give the hitter credit for getting his bat on the ball instead of producing a strikeout or popup like we often see from the Brewers in those situations.

At that point the score was 4-1 and the Brewers were in deep trouble. The offense producing 2 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings is a bigger story to me than the Dodgers “luck”. We’d be doing cartwheels if the Brewers had an inning like that Dodgers 6th.

I do agree about Santana. He has come tantalizingly close to having 4 HR in the last two games, and the 2 he got were no cheapies.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Like I said, I feel we would've lost anyway. You can't give that team extra outs especially after dodging the same bullet in the 5th. But Muncy's ball was hit sharply enough to be a DP had it not been placed perfectly. And the critical error by Monasterio, if it were them throwing the ball away, could/would eagerly be attributed to luck. Hernandez hit a shot out of Adames' reach and yes, the tight INF had much to do with that. But none of this touches on the offense, which was certainly sub-par.

Because the Brewers #5 starter, who is unlikely to start a game in the playoffs, gave up two extra base hits to the Dodgers, they can't compete?

One of my pet peeves for a long time. Some fans seem to view this like it's the NFL or college football. The more talented team doesn't always win championships. That relates more to baseball than any other sport. It's a big part of the reason I take analytics with a grain of salt. There's lots of randomness in this game.

The Dodgers & Braves are viewed as the two favorites in the NL, as well they should be. But this ain't Michigan & Ohio State from 50 years ago.

Haven't they been saying that about the Dodgers for a decade?  And the Dodgers have won one World Series in that last decade during a 60-game season.

You can probably make a stronger batting order out of the Dodgers or Braves bench then you can from the whole Brewers roster.
