Wunderbar! Galindez has been stellar since his ACL call-up.

Galindez piggy backed with Brian Fitzpatrick facing Down East on 8/31:

4 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 2 ER, 6 K, 1 HR. It was a two-run jack off OF JoJo Blackmon.

Oh dear. I had absolutely no idea this is how the Mudcats won Game 2. Lil bit of controversy! The 3B ump ruled the Wood Ducks runner had left 3B early. AND, well, we'll just have to take the ump's word for it. You know, Down East and all...no video.

Greg Young said Baez was immediately calling for the ball as soon as it was thrown in, so I have a feeling it might have been a pretty blatant leave early situation. It also sounds like the Wood Ducks had multiple coaches surround the 3B ump and absolutely scream at him.

The Low-A Carolina Mudcats play their biggest game of the season, a Division Series-deciding Game 3 at Down East, with RHP Yorman Galindez (3.88 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, 10.5 K/9 in 55.2 IP) getting the start. SS Gregory Barrios (Guilarte late error yesterday) and 1B Tayden Hall (replacing injured Chirinos) join the lineup, and RF Luis Castillo again gets the nod over Nicasia.

AA Biloxi turns to Southern League strikeout leader RHP Tobias Myers (5.21 ERA with 160 Ks in 131.1 IP) to keep their slim playoff hopes alive at home against Montgomery. 3B Zavier Warren is hitting .410 with 4 homers in his last 11 games.

Rehabbing CF Garrett Mitchell plays his first game in nearly 5 months, as the AAA Sounds aim for a 9th win in 10 games. RHP Julio Teheran makes his 5th rehab start, trying to clinch a series win in Charlotte.

Carolina in danger early in part due to more shotty defense. Leadoff single, SB, strikeout then there's a grounder hit right to  Baez and he throws it in the dirt to 1B and Hall wasn't able to pick it. Instead of 2 outs and a runner on 2nd, it is runners on the corners and 1 out. The runner on 1st just stole 2nd so two runners in scoring position with 1 out.

A double for the Wood Ducks. It's 2-0 Down East. Not a good start. Carolina had great defense and pitching this season and both have failed them so far in this series.

Wood Ducks hitter ropes a single to LF and Avina guns the runner down at home. The hitter advanced to 2B on the throw home. It's 2-0 Wood Ducks still with 2 outs now.

Galindez gets the strikeout to end the inning with Carolina losing 0-2. 3 hits for Down East and an error from Baez in the inning.

Mudcats go down quickly in order in the 2nd. Baez and Hall with infield pop ups and Avina with a strikeout.

Nashville’s off to a nice start: Winker single, Ruf RBI double, Miller single, Roller 2-run homer. 3-0 Sounds in 2nd inning.

After Chris Roller hits a 2-run HR in the 2nd inning, the Charlotte pitcher hits Henry up and in on the very next pitch. Seemed very intentional. Somehow he only got a warning.

Galindez get's a 1-2-3 2nd inning with 2 strikeouts and an infield lineout. Nice bounce back after a tough 1st inning. Time for the bats to show up.

Unfortunately, this may be what you face when your opponent is 49-92. Thankfully, Henry’s been able to stay in. Let’s crush ‘em.

Mudcats break into the hit column in the 3rd with an O'Rae single, but that's the only damage. Areinamo now 0-11 in the series.

1-2-3 inning for Galindez with a strike them out, throw them out double play courtesy Sibrian behind home plate. Still 2-0 Down East heading to the 4th.

Biloxi up 3-0 in the 1st! Chourio walked and stole 2B. Wes Clarke hit an RBI double. Then Ernesto Martinez hit an absolute bomb to right center for a 2-run HR. 109 EV, 416ft blast!

Sibrian walks in the 4th for Carolina, but nothing else for the offense. Greg Young said it's been a lot of soft contact for the Mudcats today. Wood Ducks still up 2-0. Offense is running out of time to wake up.

Zavier Warren stays extremely hot. Just hit a solo HR in the 2nd for Biloxi to put them up 4-0. Biloxi needs to find a way to keep his bat in the lineup the rest of this weekend.
