Why am I still a Rookie???

Recommended Posts

Actually this question has come up a couple of times now and it really has not been answered. I posted it once and it was believed that 100 posts would change rookie status which is not the case. I really don't care about the "rookie" rating I just hope I'm not going to get hazed. I thought 162 posts would be a good number to end a rookie status on, but who the hell knows how it ends?

It used to work; it appears to be 'broken'.

Note that I (among many others) don't have any status at all. I used to at one point, and 100 posts changed my status.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Grit. Just show our manager enough grit and you will earn it. I earned it in under a month. I am really gritty. I am almost Dave Burba, or Brady Clark gritty.

, especially if you post while hurt,

Sweet. I'm going to the kitchen and snortin' some ground pepper to make me sneeze. I imagine I'll be sidelined for a couple of weeks!

My knee went out on me and the first thing I did was post. I could barely get into or out of my car but I posted. I could barely walk. When I did walk I had a massive limp, like Lon Chaney and Frankenstien's monster. It hurt bad but i shut out the pain and posted. I posted to the best of my ability. I am Finish so my roots helped too. Us Fins are just about the grittiest people around.

If I'm not mistaken, Alex Sanchez gritty is actually negative grit. It detracts from the grit around it. I could be wrong, though.

I just obtained regular status today. I used to have a different more reflective sub title. it was very unique. it was also kind of appropriate and deserved. I forgot what it was. which is a good thing.

The funny thing, is that it was meant to be sarcastic.

"Secretary of Keepin' it Real"

Simpsons fans should understand.

"Secretary of Keepin' it Real"

That may be the greatest title ever. No offense Brian, but that is much more prestigious and glorifying than "brewerfan.net president". I can easily see why you wouldn't want someone else to have that title as it kind of makes you look like Prime Minister of Britain, who actually has the power, but is overshadowed by someone with the title of King or Queen.

Only one label could be better, tying two Simpsonisms together "Handsome B. Wonderful: Secretary of Keepin' it Real".

When my friend was umeployed for awhile, he told us that his new position was either "vice president of money" or "chief executive of running sh--" when we asked if he had found a new job.

brian, are you sure that's what the title was ?? I thought it much worse and more sarcastic than that. I kind of like that title. Can I have it back ???? While it may have been meant to be sarcastic, it has kind of a new meaning today. Can I have it back? brewerfan regular is kind of a boring title.

another idea just popped into my head. brian, we know you can change the sub titles for posters. it's probably time consuming though. How about as a money raising venture, you sell titles? members could pay you $5 -$10 a year for the right to have a "personalized" sub title ??? I admit you probably won't get many more than 10-20 requests. but think about it - 20 requests for a "personalized " subtitle could bring in $100 a year !!!! i'd be willing to pay $10 a year for a "personalized " subtitle. I think others would too.

Nah, as far as fund-raisers go, I don't want to do anything like that. I'll whore out certain parts of the site for profit, but not user titles... Those are things that are earned, in my opinion.

I think that "Hootie McBoob: Secretary of Keepin' it Real" would be better, but that's nit-picking.

Also, about the "Chief Executive of Runnin (censored)", where is that from? Because I know some square guy that used to call himself that too.
