The evening we've all been waiting for. I am hoping to have my farm equipment spring maintenances done by game times. Going to be tight!

And assuming Knoth is in a piggyback role this year, we could get Letson as well. They were slated to pitch on the same day at least once this spring.

You and @damuelle...adding much more than just the box scores! Been looking forward to this.

This might be as good as this system ever gets(Chourio graduating and Quero on the shelf notwithstanding)...So many arms, young bats. It's Christmas in April!

We're presently down in all 4 games - No!!!!

The Mudcats are furthest along, trailing Salem 3-2 in the bottom of the 7th inning despite Josh Knoth and Yujanyer Herrera producing 10 Ks (vs. 4 hits, 5 walks, 1 HBP) in 6.2 IP. Cooper Pratt and Juan Baez have both doubled, while Yophery is 0-for-3 with a walk.

Carolina are obviously short on infielders after Dylan O'Rae and Gregory Barrios were promoted and Daniel Guilarte was assigned to the ACL Brewers (Extended Spring Training?).

In Biloxi, Jacob Misiorowski started very well with consecutive Ks and no serious threat through 2.1 IP, but a 4-pitch walk, double and wild pitch resulted in 2 runs in that 3rd inning.

After 2 fly outs and a ground out in the 4th inning, Manager Ayrault somewhat surprisingly let him continue into the 5th inning, which saw 2 walks and a wild pitch before calling it a day at 75 pitches (42 strikes): 4.1 IP, 4 ER, 2 H, 3 BB, 1 HBP, 7 Ks.

The Shuckers have just 3 singles and zero runs through five innings, trailing 5-0.

The Timber Rattlers scored a run in the 1st inning, but didn't actually register their first hit (a Matt Wood single) until the 4th inning.

Starting RHP Brett Wichrowski conceded 1 earned run on 1 infield hit in 3 innings pitched. He only walked one and registered 4 Ks. He gave up no line drives and was largely dominant. Unfortunately, the infield single and multiple errors allowed two runs to score in that 3rd inning.

Wisconsin trails 2-1 in the bottom of the 6th inning and still only has one hit.

LHP Wade Miley cruised through his first 7 opposing batters before a walk and hard hit double resulted one run in the 3rd inning: 3 IP, 1 R, 2 H, 2 BB, 3 Ks.

RHP Carlos F. Rodriguez came on in relief in the 5th inning and he's struggling with control, similar to his Opening Day start. The called balls are often far outside the zone, making it far too easy on hitters: 2 IP, 4 R (2 ER), 2 H, 4 BB thus far.

Nashville is actually outhitting St. Paul 5-4, but have had 2 caught stealing while Tyler Black contributed an error in his first game at third base this year.

The Sounds trail 5-2 in the 6th inning. At least Joey Wiemer hit a ball 107.1mph (an RBI single in the 1st inning).

LF Luis Castillo is having a rough game for Carolina, going 0-4 while multiple stranding runners each time up.

Down to their final out in the bottom of the 9th inning, SS Cooper Pratt smacks an RBI triple the other way, scoring Juan Baez to knot the game 3-3. Go Mudcats!!!!

Pratt is 3-for-4 with a single, double and triple, along with 2 RBIs. Woo hoo!

Three singles for Biloxi in the 6th inning (Carlos D. Rodriguez, Ethan Murray, Ernesto Martinez) allowed the Shuckers to cut the deficit to 5-2, but Montgomery immediately responded with 2 runs off LHP Adam Seminaris in the next half inning. Biloxi trails 7-2 in the 7th inning.

3B Tyler Black gets his 2nd error of the game, which together have contributed to 3 earned runs off of Carlos F. Rodriguez. Oh look, the Sounds trail 6-3 in the bottom of the 7th inning. Maybe Black should be a 1B/OF?

Wisconsin and Peoria are now in the 9th inning, combining on 3 runs (2 Peoria, 1 Wisconsin) and 3 hits (2 Peoria, 1 Wisconsin). Wisconsin's 3 errors are the difference in the game.

Gregory Barrios, Matt Wood and Jadher Areinamo are due up in the bottom of the 9th.

RHP Brian Fitzpatrick was excellent in long relief: 4 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 3 Ks.

For Carolina, 2023 draftee RHP Morris Austin (10th round pick) retired all 4 batters he faced, then gave way to RHP Bayden Root in the bottom of the 9th inning. Root has not retired anybody thus far, walking the first three batters in this 3-3 contest.

The Sounds are not done. CF Joey Wiemer walk, C Eric Haase RBI double (his 2nd hit of the game), DH Francisco Mejia (yes, he signed and was immediately slotted into the 6-spot in Nashville's lineup) RBI single. They now trail 6-5 through 7 innings.

Root escaped!! Cooper Pratt saves the game for the second time in the inning, this time catching a line drive and doubling off the baserunner at 1st base, with the runner on 3rd not moving. Bayden Root then K'd the next batter. It's still 3-3 as they head to the 10th inning!

Gregory Barrios grounded out, but Matt Wood walked. Wood represents the potential game-tying run. Jadher Areinamo now Ks. It's all up to RF Eduarqui Fernandez.

Eduarqui Fernandez also K'd. Wisconsin loses 2-1, producing more errors (3) than hits (1). Manager Victor Estevez may seriously have his work cut out for him.
