BUT, we got a Mudcats 'W'. Every win from here until the end of the first half with this Fredericksburg team nipping at the heals is HUGE. 3-1 W. 7 complete. Root with 2 K in a scoreless 7th.

Did I miss Ernesto Martinez Jr getting hurt?

No point in speculating but I'm going to do it anyway. I feel like Black getting scratched almost has to be an injury of his own? They would have known before the lineup came out if someone on the big league club was injured with an off day today. Don't feel great about this

Yeah, he exited a game in the 6th/7th inning about a week ago. I think this is why Noah Campbell was sent down to AA, as Martinez had already been pressed into outfield action.

RHP Will Rudy had two down and an 0-2 count. T-Rats trailing 1-0. He proceeded to walk the batter. Then he proceeded to give up a 2-0 3-run homer to the next. T-Rats now trail 4-0.

Black and Hicklen were both scratched so it wasn't just Black

Looks like Wiemer was pulled before the 7th - listed as a defensive sub for Yonni Hernandez to LF (?). Is this a precautionary measure? Seems like a weird sub if it wasn't some type of hiccub in his rehab.

First game of a rehab stint not playing a full 9 seems pretty normal.

Just got home from T-Rats game.  What a dud.

Rudy got shelled, but the guys who followed stopped the bleeding, offense just couldn't get anything going.

Luke Adams left during an at bat with an awkward swing of some sort.  He had to leave the game with an 0-1 count.  Fernandez came in and walked.  Pretty impressive starting a strike down.  Hope Luke is ok.
