Looks like DSL Uno was called after five innings with a 4 to 1 victory over the Rojos.

Luis Pena (2 for 3, two stolen bases), Engel Paulino (2 for 2, double) and Kevin Garcia (1 for 2, triple) had the big days at the plate.

Gabriel Colmenarez limited the Rojos to one unearned runs over four frames (3 H | 2 BB | 1 HBP | 3 K) while Saul Sanchez worked a one two three fifth inning (1 K).

DSL Dos is currently leading 5 to 2 over Cleveland Mendoza in a game that appears to be suspended bottom of four.

Luis Corobo has doubled while Frandy LaFond has doubled and walked in the early going.

Suspended with one down and the bases juiced for the Mendoza.
Scared Kermit The Frog GIF

All five Dos runs scored in the top half of the second frame.

Lafond continues to, week-by-week, lure me in deeper to believing in his talent pool. 16 1/2 G and 43 AB: 13 BB / 6 K / 2 2B / 1 HR / 10 RBI / 9 R / 9 SB / 0 CS / 0.326 BA / 0.950 OPS / 2 OF Asst.

Lots to be intrigued by as he gets his legs further under him. It's a small sample but it's a very very good small sample.

RHP Ryan Birchard with his second rehab outing completed:

2 IP, 3 H, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 ER

He continues on the comeback trail.

Adamczewski just grounded out for the final out in the Brewers third frame - bases were dripping. The Crew still trail 1-0.

Wait a minute. Wait. A. Minute. ACL Scoring error (you don't say?!)

I return to see the Crew never left the third frame. Rather, they've plated three runs, lead 3-1, and still have a man on third base with two down. Noice!

Bitonti on the verge of a reverse Golden Sombrero (The Walks edition). 3 free passes through his first 3 trips and, now, a HBP. That's now 41 BB-to-59 K on his season as he continues to work on improving that balance.

33.9% K rate

23.6% BB rate

Fascinating profile on the verge of Low-A action...

Have a night RF Gery Holguin. He came into a bases loaded, nobody down, scenario in the bottom of the 6th. Already 3-for-3 with 1 R, 2 RBI. AND, we see a blue. circle and 'In play, run(s)' on the Gamecast. Stay tuned! Crew lead 4-1 but they will apparently be adding to the lead...

AND, there it is.

Eric Bitonti has now walked four times and has been hit by a pitch. My goodness. A truly reverse sparkling Golden Sombrero. Yowza.

Channeling his inner Luke Adams. I like it.

There's been talk of Bitonti going to Carolina, and rightfully so. But I think Josh Adamczewski might be every bit as deserving. Tough to get a lot of attention as a middle INF with the work Pena & Made have turned in, but he's been very, very good. Plus he's a grizzled old vet at 19.

Bitonti’s K & BB rate is actually 27% & 19% respectively.
