Blayberg Diaz and Satchell Norman singled back to back bottom of five, but a Yophery Rodriguez double play threatened to kill the rally with Blayberg on third and two outs.

But Filippo Di Turi came through with the two out base knock to put the Mudcats up 2 to 1.

Oh BOY.

Just remember, folks. I was asking for you to join my Areinamo bandwagon over a year ago when y'all were worrying about his swing pattern and lack of power.

AND, as I said then and as I still say today: toss those concerns in the trash. This young man is built different!

WHEW BABY! T Rats lead after his 3-Run BLAST.

Oh Yerlin. My Sweet Prince. I pray you find your Princess some day and rule your pitching kingdom with poise and savvy. As for now? You are searching for what it means to be a King. He gives up the lead. AND, just walked a runner aboard. Also has a WP. Ugh.

Yerlin came aboard with the 8-7 lead. He scored the game tying runner via WP. Then gave up a Walk. Then a single. Runners on the corners two down. 8-8 game. Sigh.

AND, now it's C Ramón Rodríguez's turn to make a difference. Two run jack to LF. 10-8 T-Rats. Let's GO!!!! Kudos to Eduardo Garcia for staying patient and not chasing that sixth pitch down and in the dirt. Not a given with the young Garcia. He took the free pass to give Ramón the extra RBI. On to the top of the 8th with the 10-8 lead.

Satchell Norman leads off bottom of seven with a double in Carolina with Yhoswar Garcia on to pinch run.

Yophery Rodriguez (K) and Filippo Di Turi (line out) followed, but the rare Juan Baez walk keeps the inning alive for Daniel Guilarte who has just walked himself to load the bases for Luis Castillo.

Just went back and watched the Pratt HBP. He was plunked on the back of the right elbow. Off-speed. Hopefully, just a stinger. He was definitely feeling the impacts tho. Shook that arm repeatedly. Bent over in clear pain.

Yeah, they threw him back to first base on a failed pick-off and he is still shaking that off. In very clear discomfort. Let's just hope it's very very sore and he gets the day off and recuperates.

SO, I am guessing the DP ball that ended the bottom of the 2nd - a 6-4-3 DP - is where Pratt found out he may want to rest up and see what's going on. He made the throw from 2B - didn't appear to fully unleash as he didn't need to but he is replaced then in the top of the 3rd frame. He also had a collision in the top of the 1st with Areinamo. Again, hoping it's just a precautionary: "Hey, you've had a couple dangerous moments today. Take the prolonged rest with tomorrow off."

please don't be anything serious with Pratt.Btw just a question who does everyone think our Call ups to the big club in Sept. i think two Hitters and 2 arms.

Luis Lara single (stolen base), Felix Valerio walk (wild pitch) has runners on 2nd and 3rd no outs for Wisco trying to add on bottom of eight.

Jadher flies out and Tayden Hall is walked to load the bases for Eduardo Garcia who did hers home another TRat run with the bases still juiced for Ramon Rodriguez.

Garcia hit a tricky short-hopped chopper up the 3B line. The 3B'man tried to corral it on that tricky short hop but it caromed off the heel of glove into 3B foul territory. Runner held wisely. Bases still juiced 11-9. Mound visit to check on their pitcher. About to get back underway.

I don't think the HBP is what knocked him out of the game. Think that was just a stinger. In the 2nd inning I believe there was a ground ball up the middle that he and Areinamo both were going for and they crashed into each other. He was shaken up. Maybe a concussion?

September roster expansion is just 28 roster spots. It will be a pitcher and a bat because you can only carry 14 pitchers.

Another walk. 12-9. I just want to say I have absolutely loved the work we've gotten from Ramón Rodríguez and David Garcia in 2024. Just solid solid overall players.

Yeah, I mentioned this above. Could be one or the other. Could just be: those both sucked. Take a rest.

Vargas ripped a 2-run single up the middle in a 2-2 count. 14-9. Let's also call a spade a spade here: RHP Yerlin Rdorgiuez is very very lucky with how erratic and unreliable he is he has a pitcher as savvy and poised as RHP Aaron Rund to consistently save his butt. That's the truth.

Brailin Rodriguez allowed the Manfred Mann to score top of eight but a Reidy Mercado walk, a wild pitch and a Miguel Briceno 2-RBI single gave Carolina the 4 to 3 walk off win.
