Except not at all in the end because we still screwed ourselves out of the drive completely with penalties and drops and end up giving them the ball right back in better field position than if we had punted.

We're moving the ball today. We have 3 points because we're making key mistakes in key times and being very undisciplined. This game is very winnable with a smart football team. We are not a smart football team.

There is destined to be at least one goofy turnover in this game and I just hope it falls our way.

We are also one of the youngest (or was it the youngest?) team in the NFL.  Mistakes do come with youth.  Not an excuse, but it is part of the learning curve unfortunately.

Bout to be 14-3 at half with the Lions getting the ball to start the 3rd and the rout on. 

No one to blame but ourselves for this score.

The plan was a solid one. We are running effectively, the passes are hitting hands, we’ve limited Detroit’s possessions. No execution when it counts, though. And our midlevel defense blows chunks.

The Lions are doing all the little things and the Packers aren't. That's the difference in the game.

I don't have a lot have a lot of confidence in doing anything here, but it would sure be helpful to put a small drive together and make it 10-6 before halftime.

They're fine. They're moving the ball. They're still in the game. Just don't cough it up here under any circumstances. Stop the boneheaded crap and this is a game you can get.

Meh, 7 points is a pretty big deficit in a game like this, especially when you're starting on defense to enter the 3rd quarter. They're not dead in the water, but it's going to be an uphill climb. Detroit is moving the ball, too.

That is the one thing we couldn't have there.  This is a real problem with Love. Way too much of that. He's been worse about it this year than last.
