I will absolutely never get over the infield umps standing at 2B being called on to affirm or deny check swing strikes at home base. It never ceases to amaze me that is the best we can do. And it certainly looks like that same ump just blew a CS call at 3B against the T-Rats. AND that cost them. In a full count, the batter pokes one past the diving Baez. Wasn't hit all that hard. Sigh.

Carlos Rodriguez having a very good game.

Feels like he’s a slight velocity uptick away from being a real nice major leaguer. If he could get that 93 up to a 95, oh boy.

Reyes suffers the unfortunate luck of what looked like a 20 mph swinging dribbling bunt up the 1B side putting his second runner aboard and he's now walked the next batter on four pitches. Bases juiced. One down. Things suddenly shaky at Myrtle Beach and in Quad Cities.

I will try to rewatch his start. Between Logan, Miz and Carlos the starting staff in Nashville is having a nice week. Redbirds must be good for our pitchers 😂

Welp.  Dribbler for a hit, walks and bases loaded against Reyes and it’s a ground rule double.  Just missed the grand slam, and it’s now 5-5. Ugh.  Then a HBP and bases still juiced with only one out. Muddies pitching not grooving tonight.

Boy did Burke just make a beautiful run-saving dig on a bang-bang grounder to Baez. His throw was a heater and it super short hopped. No matter, Burke is really just savvy over there. He digs it. Saves the run. 1-1 game and the T-Rats will bat top of 7.

Big K for Reyes. Now just need to get one more out to escape with a tie game…. And Made with the play and it’s on to 3rd inning lucky to be tied up 5-5. Phew

Manfredi struggling to get outs in Biloxi. Single , walk, single , force out, single. And two more in. Suckers down 4-1. Still only 1 out in the 6th for manfredi.

Boy these Pelicans are having a brutal time tracking fly balls tonight. Just hit in the air and it's a 50/50 proposition it might hit the grass.

Manfredi has struggled to get outs since late last season. The AFL appears to have broke him. It's a real bummer. Hoping he can rediscover that promise from early 2024.

Rodriguez perfect game over. But still on in the 6th. Now two down. 5.1 IP of no hit, but one hit so far. Sounds up 4-0 thanks to Mike Cameron”s son.

Oh hey another casually absurdly difficult play by Jadher Areinamo made to look absurdly routine. Unreal. The announcer is just gushing over hime.

That was a hell of a play in the hole.

He's just amazing. Everything he does has top class written into it. He made that look so easy.

Adamczewski strikes out

And in Quad Cities, Flores gets an out, then dribbler up 3rd base, and a deep liner to LF, and it’s 2-1 Quad Cities.

Flores gave up,the one run but gets a huge K to end the 8th.
It’s QC 2-1. On to the top of 9.

And still 5-5 in Myrtle Beach. Muddies up to bat in the top of 5.

Shuckers are done. Only worth seeing if brown, Lara and Wilken can add to their hit totals.

Nshville cruising bit McWilliams in and gives up a run. 4-1 Nshville still

Baez caught stealing with Castillo up. And it’s now 2 down.

Now strike out Castillo. Just a tough loss to swallow.  Letson was great then a couple runs late and TRats can’t get going.
‘Castillo by the way looks outmatched at high A.

Castillo is always prone to strikeouts where ever he plays but, yes, he looks like he has no plan and is overmatched.

Also, Baez CS? Shocker. BUT, the more important ? there is: You KNOW Castillo has legit HR power. And you have a catcher throwing out everyone this entire season. Why are you stealing there? Baez continues to be a very talented frustrating player.
