Spain drills a ball to deep right field and it is now 6-1 Shuckers. Let's go boys, hopefully the start of a good streak here for this team with a bunch of prospects.

Lara grounds out. But still overall a good showing for Biloxi overall. And on to the bottom of 8. 6 more outs to get

So two Shuckers hitter have had 3 hit nights this season.... and both of them in THIS game. Pratt and Murray

So I'm going even deeper.  There have only been two games where 2 hitters had multi-hit games (only 9 multi hit games so far in this young season). Those two games have been Sunday 4/13 and today 4/15, and those players are Pratt +Murray, and Pratt + Murray

Hey, a resurgent Ethan Murray could be massive for this Shuckers team. Rooting for him.

Electric inning for Bryant in a quickish inning. After a 7 pitch at bat that got a grounder, he strikes out the next two batter with 96 mph heater.

On to the 9th.

A resurgent Ethan Murray would be great for him, the Brewers (he seems like he could be a UT guy in the bigs if he can hit) , and for Areinamo who would moved up if/when Murray, or another IF gets bumped up to AAA.

Not much there in the 9th. Pratt flies out, Wilken strikes out swinging (his only K tonight), and Miller Ks looking

But Cooper Pratt 3-4, with two 2B, 1 BB, 0 K, and 3 SB!

On to the bottom of 9th. Let's go Shuckers.

Hope the Shuckers can strike out the side in the 9th to get a team 20 K game

Welp, no such luck. Grounder to Pratt for out 1. I'll take a quick inning for Childers and a big W for Biloxi.

Wilken hasn't really got going at the dish in the early going - we've seen a couple flashes. BUT, he does lead the Southern League in walks. I was not expecting this in early 2025. He tallied two more tonight.

@Joseph Zarr - was it you or another poster who gets LF and RF confused occasionally?

Only reason I ask - the Birmingham announcer seems to get inside and outside of the plate confused a few times, unless there is some odd Biloxi camera thing where the angle of the plate is reversed.

And on a pitch right down the middle, so neither inside or outside, Childers get a K. Game over. Nice win!

I don't know what you're talking about.

(Absolutely, yes. I do it semi-regularly when I have the multiple screen thing going. Though, I hit the conditioning this off-season and have yet to butcher one in the early going. Strange days!)

I did say occasionally 😉

But I don't know if you were listening tonight, but did you notice that the announcer was like "he missed inside" when it was off the plate away from the hitter. Or was I imagining things there? But I swear I heard that about 4-5 times tonight.

EDIT: Anyway good night all. A 3-1 night for the affiliates.

Yes indeed. Keep in mind he's been around for awhile. Heck he called games for Childers' dad's brother back in the late 90's when he was with Stockton. He's seen some things. Maybe he mixes them up? Maybe he sees them strangely from the booth? Cue Uecker's Major League line: "Ahhhhh, nobody's listening anyway!"😅

Are we officially on BSOHL watch with you?

I'm afraid that ship sailed 25 years ago. 😅

I think we're more on "How long can he keep naming these fields correctly? I give him another two weeks." Watch.

Bottom 4: 8-to-8

As I was saying about the offense and the pitching just this past weekend? This was not the same as Holobetz's last appearance it twould appear!😅

I do think Holobetz was a little snakebitten defensively in this one, I didn't catch the first inning but the second he generated a lot of weak contact and just couldn't get the outs behind him
