DiTuri sneaks a triple past a lunging LF'er who misses the catch. He scores Anderson who had doubled off the LF wall. 1-0 Mudcats. HEY a LEAD! LET'S GO!

Oooof. Peña absolutely butchered a weak grounder to SS. Poor approach. Went to the back-hand and missed the ball by a good foot. In the Minor Leagues they'll likely score that a hit. It was very much an error. Oh, look, they charged an error. <Golf clap>

Someone tell Juan Baez to keep playing 3B like he is tonight. Absolutely killing it over there early. Making everything look easy and doing it with flare. Love it.

Walther grabs a CS at 2B. Heck yeah! Made with the very nice gather and tag. Love it. That was a guy with 46 SB! Heck yea, Walther! Big out too. Hard hit liner to LF would have been a sac fly. Instead it is the third out.

AA Biloxi’s magic number is 2 to clinch the first half title, with 6 games to play. They’re back home to battle Cubs’ affiliate Knoxville this week. Last we saw LHP Tate Kuehner (2.61 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 9,1 K/9 in 58,2 IP), he was getting ejected from the dugout in Sunday’s crazy road win. 3B Luke Adams has an astounding 1.094 OPS during his 36-game on-base streak.

Hats off to Walther playing some very good defense as the backstop early in Zebulon. LOVE to see it. He's been very solid.

Meanwhile DeBerry picks up two K in his second frame. Great work. Worked around a McGonigle walk. (I don't blame him. Just give him first base. LOL).

Payne rips a standing RBI triple down the RF line.

THIS version of Payne is better than any version I've seen in two weeks. Let's turn the corner together! Huge poke. 2-0 Muddies. Smoked that about 106 mph. BB and a triple. Disciplined swings. These are lefty on lefty.

Burke legs out an oppo single against the shift toward 2B. Dinges takes a hack pitch one that would have killed a village. He is out for blood. LOL. Helmet nearly cut off his nose.

Catcher has his foot directly on the plate. Come on man. Ahhhhhhhhh. Man, tough luck. He slid right into that foot. I don't begrudge the call having seen it though I do not like it. LOL.

I really like Dubanewicz. Seems like between the late round picks and the Priester trade, we want those back rotation guys to be pitching to contact.

You can see the growth potential too. I really really like him.

Jadher!!!! Two-Run BOMB over the LF wall. After Baez expertly worked an 0-2 count for a very patient impressive walk. Man, the T-Rats through 4 2/3 innings are sublime tonight. What a game.

He’s got a cool body type. Long limbs, tiny torso, kind of hunchy. He’s listed as 6’3” but I bet he pitches way bigger.

DeBerry after that early hiccup to lefties has been dynamite. He struck out his last batter of the 5th twice. Ump blew a K looking on an inside breaker. Gets the swinging K on a slider. Gorgeous work.

Dinges got the memo: Hit it hard and high to RF tonight in West Michigan. Just absolutely ripped a sky high double to the warning track. Murr came in and then just got eaten up as the ball almost hit the wall. Amazing.

Meanwhile, the Shuckers are up 2-0 on a balk and a Lara single. Pratt doubled to the deep left CF gap earlier.

We will know this as 'The Yhoswar Game'. My goodness. 7-2 T-Rats after he turns a gapper (failed throw home) into a three-bagger. After that incredible diving grab in deep right CF. They'll rule that a 2B. He advances on the throw home. My goodness. Best T-Rats 5 1/2 innings ALL season. And it really isn't close considering the team they are playing.
