Someday I dream of Biloxi and Carolina (hopefully moving a nice new stadium in Wilson helps) can get their broadcasts to the quality of Nashville and Wisconsin. Wisconsin seriously has one of the best broadcasts in all of minor league baseball.

A man can certainly dream. I have hope invested in the Wilson Warbirds media experience. Chris Edwards is such a fun announcer. It would be really great if they invested in lifting up their greater media bundle. Their post-game articles have essentially become deep archive meaningless 'write-ups'. Everything else across the board is just random thing here and there. The T-Rats entire thing is incredible. Their Home YouTube vids and post-game pods? Absurd amount of riches we bask in.

This play was absolutely incredible. Heck of a call by the Durham announcer:

I also have grown to love how EMJ uses the splits to catch anything. He's a Showman. He reminds me of the soccer goalkeeper who overdives every shot. LOL.

After spending most of last year without a CF camera in Biloxi I'm glad we even get video

We don't have a radio station in Zebulon either, we had one then cut it when Greg Young left

Seriously. We are in August AND the Shuckers CF camera is still a relative disaster. EArly in the season it was completely out of alignment. Everything was tilted down to the right. Now? It's a complete smudefest. All the chalk - anything white - is smudged and jumping off the screen. Utterly annoying. Every year it is something down at Keesler Federal Park.

This is my first year of having access to the minor league affiliates, so I didn't know what the standard was. Didn't take long to get annoyed with the poor quality broadcast production for Biloxi, but I wasn't sure if that was the norm for higher levels to have lower quality. Biloxi was my primary interest the first few months, but it was hard to watch with video delay always being a tick behind the audio.

Peña bomb with questionable camera work post-contact

Was just there a couple weeks ago to catch Burke before he got promoted. Can't wait to come back and see Pena and Made, maybe even Dinges and Letson. Several hours drive, so it's going to have to wait until next year, hoping / assuming they start '26 in Appleton.

Man, that's a classic Wisconsin road. Patched together by beads of asphalt caulking. LOL. I do not miss that one bit. In my old trucks that type of drive feels like I'm on volcanic rock. 😅

From our recent first trip there, the stadium appears to be in an outer city limits development area. With lots of road construction going on, our trip from the hotel to the ballpark detours seemed to take us in a giant rectangle of roundabouts and right turns, some of which took us past corn fields as well as quiet industrial parks. Those roads get upgraded when they handle a relevant amount of traffic to justify the cost. Appleton reminds me of Eau Claire somewhat.

Totally. I mean, I live in a remote mountain valley in the Selkirk Mountains about an hour from Spokane, Coeur D'Alene, and Sandpoint Idaho. I am absolutely no stranger to shoddy county roads out this way. Likely a lot more gravel forest roads than you all are accustomed to back that way. Growing up in Wisconsin, however, I have those tar line fix-it jobs etched in my memory.

Yeah, I'm in the rural hinterlands as well, just WI rather than west / coastal region. Those little strips of patches look like band aids, but they get the job done. As a fiscally frugal person, I appreciate the stretching of the product before dealing with replacement costs  LOL.

Having only just started following the affiliates this spring, I don't know these things... is there a typical, somewhat predictable timeframe or window for minor league promotions? My thought was to come back to Appleton next year and catch Pena, Made, Dinges before they get bumped up. Any chance that happens over the winter instead? Wondering if I should make an other trek before the end of the month.

My hunch is they all start the year out in High-A next season, and some will promote faster than others depending on who is up above them. Does Made bump up if Pratt doesn't etc? Or perhaps surpass him?

What is that? 5 HR in his last 7 2/3 IP? Good gracious. It's definitely four but I feel like he gave up a third long ball his last start? He just doens't look very inspired right now.

Yeah he may look uninspired, but also what do we know?  I’m guessing he is trying to work on his changeup and slider. They probably told him to not worry about outcome and just concentrate on getting those pitches over and trying to refine them. Just my guess.
