Wow. After a lot of bad calls going against our teams (looking at you in the Mudcat game the other night ignoring anything Adamczewski did), the T-Rats just were gifted an out.

Liner to third, and Fischer can't snare it, it gets away and he runs to the bag and was late but George called out then throws to 2nd to get Hope for a DP. Blown call but I will absolutely take it

Then Figueroa strikes out Gelof. That is how you end it.
What a game, absolute chaos the last inning, just wild. A win - however it was even if a blown call assisted it, is a win I will gladly take.

Go watch the first inning of the TRats offense and the last inning (bottom of the 9th), and you will be entertained.

Methinks the base umpire got her revenge on the Loons’ coach who came out to question her on a play at first earlier in the game.

After being knocked down a peg to #6 in the batting order we see an 0-for-4, 2 K tonight for one Filippo Di Turi. Is the second half just his Minor League nemesis? This may be even worse than last season. After a July in which he managed a 0.159 BA with a measly 0.486 OPS after 74 PA's, he is off to an even worse August: 0.083 BA and a 0.297 OPS (!!!) after 42 PA's.

Hurt me! My guy, gotta turn this around. Too good a player to be going through this type of drought season-to-season.

Yeah I was just thinking about the great depth the brewers have across the infield, but how I can't put DiTuri into this grouping yet:

1B - Burke, Adams, BItonti
2B - Adamczewski, Dickinson
SS - Made, Pena, Pratt
3B - Wilken, Fischer, Ebel

Di Turi was solidly on that list in May/June, but he has fallen off again. Disappointing to see. Hopefully he can work on that in the offseason. Last year he had to improve his power and he did, this year he has to improve his stamina for the whole season.

Can confirm Bishop Letson is in Appleton. Perhaps this is already known. My boy got an auto tonight form the talented young hurler.

Yup, I saw him there signing for people.  He's super fan friendly, has been all year! (When he was here anyway)

I was there and she got both calls wrong and both were really bad misses. The play at 1st was pretty egregious. When everyone around you was like wow that was a bad call when it benefits your team you know you messed up bad.

Welp, at least she's consistent! Love that about baseball (I don't. It annoys me to no end).

It was a really fun game tonight. Great Lakes threw some pretty quality arms in terms of stuff at the T-Rats tonight. Made and Pena both looked good and the way they swing the bat just looked a cut above everyone else on the field tonight. Will say that I was bummed to have probably witnessed Dinges worst game as a pro. Some of the fans around me were being very harsh towards him and I just had to bite my tongue in response lol.

Made takes a 98-99 mph pitch and gets a 100 EV single to right center. 18 years old.

110 EV on that single not 100 EV.

First couple professional hits for Fischer, and now his first professional error.

Man they gave him an error on the squibber by George? That's super harsh. That thing had a ton of spin and with George running he probably needed to barehand it to have a shot.

I don't actually know, I just assumed. That was a pretty basic play.

Oh definitely not a basic play. That ball had a crazy amount of spin on it and George is one of the fastest players in MiLB and was already moving towards 1B on the swing. Fischer could have played it better but that was not an easy play when you consider who was running. Frankly if Fischer had just let it go that ball probably goes foul that's how much side spin was on it.

Yeah, that was a hit off the bat, given George's speed. It was maybe even good that he didn't barehand it cleanly, since a rushed throw to first could have put George on third.

I'm pleased to say that I was at the game too! I'm visiting my parents for 3 days, though we exited with Castillo up in the bottom of the 8th inning. My dad joked that there was more action in the 10 minutes after we left than there had been over the previous 2 hours.

Felt bad for Dinges, though I'm glad the Loons kept their last pitcher in for 3 innings. It seemed like most Timber Rattlers were seeing him well and making him throw strikes.

Oh, and we really wanted Rund to throw a changeup while Munoz was fouling off 7 straight pitches with the bases loaded, nobody out in the top of the 8th inning, the first 5 of which were 94mph fastballs if I recall correctly. I guess that fastball was the only thing he could throw for strikes at the time, though. He did try an 81mph change-up to the next batter.

It's karma - how many bad calls have caused hiccups particularly it seems in Mudcat games the past 2-3 weeks

my fingers were all thumbs last night (typing wrong base runners, getting innings and outs confused, and now typing 100 when I clearly heard 110  - i think it was stated as 109.7 and Mehring says lets round it up to 110).

Wow all kinds of rookie mistakes by me last night - pretty exciting games and lots of activity to watch.

Nah, that was a tough play.  He had to make the barehanded play to have a shot, the ball was spinning, and he wasn't able to come up with it.

Definitely should have been ruled a base hit.
