T-Rats bats getting absolutely overmatched by Milbrandt. 7 K through 2 2/3 IP. And five straight punch outs at that. Milbrandt is really good at Home. T-Rats are helping drive that Home.

Wow Milbrandt sounds like he is absolutely dealing. 3rd round pick in 2022 - third year of pitching in high A. Marlins #20 prospect.

Three consecutive 2 out hits against Cornielle. 111 mph ball roped to the RF warning track.

It is that Cornielle tonight - hang onto your seats for the rollercoaster ride gents

He's a really nice pitcher. He's reallllllly nice at Home. You should go look at his Home/Away splits in 2025. It's eye-opening.

Well, the Shuckers had two down. Burke hit a slow dribbler toward the mound. The Lookouts pitcher airmailed it. Now we have the bases juiced and he's approaching the upper 20's in his pitch count. Shuckers trail 4-0. Bottom of the first. Bullpen is active for Chattanooga. Eduardo Garcia to the dish.

Garcia draws a walk to get a run home for the Shuckers - very nice. Warren flies out to end the inning.

Mudcats line up is crazy young again, even younger now

That's Payne (19), Ragsdale (old guy at 21), Ebel (18), Bitonti (19), Encarnacion (18), Anderson (18), DiTui (19), Holguin (just turned 20) and Walther (another old guy at 21) and Hernandez (19) pitching

Luis Castillo strikes out on a pitch at his ankles. That's Milbrandt's 9th K. Have I told you of the massive struggles of one Luis Castillo in 2025. As bad as his numbers look? His AB's absolutely match them.

Meanwhile, Ebel snares a liner with ease in the hole. Makes it look easy with his long frame. He then snares another at his ankles on the next play up the middle. He is truly so smooth as a player. I already know I am going to love this young man. His game is so silky smooth. Melvin is pitching into the 7th. He has two down already. Muddies lead 3-0.

Alastre tells Luis to hold his beer and swings and misses on a pitch in the dirt at his ankles in a 3-2 count. I mean, Milbrandt is obviously very good at Home. Some of these swings are just truly truly poor. That's 10 K for the T-Rats bats.

Hall is not rewarded by the baseball gods when he ropes a 1-2 hard hit liner into right field and the RF'er charges and makes the successful diving catch. Well hit ball.

And, Payne gets ahold of one four a double to the RF corner. After a poor first AB he had progressively dialed in with better and better approaches. Really nice to see him rewarded with a hard hit poke into RF that lands on the grass! 3-0 Muddies lead top of 8. Nobody out. Payne on 2B.

When it rains it pours. A weak dribbler up the 3B line falls for an infield single and the bases are juiced. Let's see if Cornielle can keep the ball in the ball park.

He gets the shallow pop out to RF. Pitch count now at 54. That's consecutive rough innings for Cornielle. Way too much traffic. Inability to close pitcher's counts. Kudos he didn't allow any bodies to cross home plate.

Ebel K's looking. Payne CS at 3B in a double steal. Bitonti K's on a ball high and away. That's the end of that threat.

Have I mentioned that Bitonti's off season program is to try to close some of the holes in the swing. His decision is not bad some times, but he just can't make contact.  When he does he makes serious contact, just not enough.

T-Rats must be ecstatic to see Milbrandt out. 82 pitches to get through 4, he racked up the Ks but not as efficient as he could have been. Hopefully the Rattlers bats will take advantage.

And Made pops up to SS. We need some fireworks in Beloit. Anything to wake these sleepy sleepy bats. I feel for RHP Travis Smith. He's had a really nice outing as a whole. He's getting absolutely zero support. LOL.

Alright, gents. Take Her away @biedergb. Farm chores and animal duties and check in on family din dins. I'm going to pause these tilts. When the Muddies finish I'll fire up the Sounds from inning one.
