Groundout to Di Turi who picks on the backhand and throws to first.

Strikeout swinging on a 96 mph fastball.

Full count. Grounded down the middle. Di Turi dives and gets the ball but keeps it. 1 on, 2 outs

Fastball to inside corner for strike one. Fastball up in the zone strike 2. Fastball fouled off. Breaking ball outside for ball one. High fastball popped up. Anderson gets it in right field and the game is over. Muddies win!

Triple-A debut for LHP Nate Peterson in the 10th inning. He picks up a Save. He works around a walk and a WP but picks up 2 K as well. Not a bad inning of work! Sounds pull out the 4-2 series victory with the 9-7 W.

The Shuckers seek to clinch a 4-2 home series victory over Pensacola behind stellar 23-year old RHP Tyson Hardin, who’s making his 4th start since a 6-week injury absence (2.1 IP, 1 R, 2 Ks in 40 pitches last week). C Matt Wood has been terrific in AA ball: .783 OPS in 226 PAs with a 30% caught stealing rate (23 of 77).

Made absent in Wisconsin's last game this year is interesting. Not sure it makes it any more or less likely he'll have a trip to Biloxi to at least see that level before next year, but I still think it's notable

Biloxi two on, and Pratt draws a walk to walk the bases. Then on a 1-1 pitch, Southern Man Mr. Blake Burke hits a 412 foot home run to deep right, 106 mph off the bat, for a Grand Slam. Woo Hoo!!

Shuckers close it out and win a 4-1 game. Burke accounting for all 4 runs with his grand slam.

So that is a 3-1 day for the affiliates, and the Carolina Mudcats end their franchise run on a winning note, even if it was the not the storybook ending we all craved.

Nashville won in extras.

And the T-Rats lose again (with the talent there they should have really dominated the last 2-3 weeks but alas).

Anyway this was the last 4 team scoreboard in MiLB for the 2025 season, next April will be the next time we see this many teams in the Link Report

Another quality three inning performance by Gasser, only needing 31 pitches this time around. Maybe one more outing like this and perhaps the Brewers call him up.

It's interesting with the Made promotion given how the organization approaches technical tweaks. I remember Brenton Del Chiaro talking about Made with @Aram Leightonearlier in the season and referencing something about his swing that would likely need refined. This isn't a direct quote but he said something along the lines of "We don't have anyone in the Major Leagues who's been successful with that" which Aram agreed with.

If I had the time to go back and re-listen I could say more, though it's well worth a listen for any and all on this site, but the consensus was that the swing had a propensity to result in too many ground balls and prevent Made from elevating enough to access his power.

That's something we certainly saw in Low A and, although results have been better in Wisconsin under the Timber rattlers uniform, the expectation is that Made might struggle more facing a higher caliber of pitcher and raw stuff. That being said, the Brewers won't intervene in any way unless Made approaches them to do so, and that might require some struggle. Why fix what isn't broken, especially when baseball is filled with unique swings.

They may be wondering if this is where he'll face some problems catching up to big velocities, its a huge step from High A to Double A and especially in the midst of a playoff chase. If he succeeds, great, if he struggles, they have a plan ready and waiting to work on through the off season with the young phenom. Either way, its pretty much a win-win

Anything better than Chourio's 2-for-23, 11-K time with Biloxi to end the 2022 season and I'll continue to be over the moon for Jesus Made.
