Game 4: Packers @ Cowboys - Sunday, Sept 28 7:20 PM

Over 3 MINUTES wasted!   This stuff is rigged.    I really want to hear LaFleur's post-game explanation for not showing any urgency to score a touchdown as quickly as possible.

LaFleur can go. I cannot believe what I just saw. They had them absolutely on the ropes and for whatever reason were taking 30 seconds per play. Why is he worried about the clock when a TD ends the game? He can go.

That has to feel good into the bye week... 🤢

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

I am looking forward to not thinking about this team for a week. Eight days ago, I never would have thought that’s where I’d be be right now, but that’s it,

MLF needs to be grilled about his approach to that last drive - and if the answers arent good enough or dismissive he needs to be fired.

I honestly think he doesnt know the rules where if you score a TD there you win and what is left on the clock means nothing.

MLF is a freaking terrible head coach. Not average, not bad, terrible.

How do you mismanage 4 minutes of play clock so poorly when a TD ends the game that you don’t even give yourself a chance to win?

If that clock would have ran out on that play MLF would have rightly got roasted after this one.

He still should...and Love probably should too for not having situational awareness most of that drive, too

If he doesn’t know the rules, he should be fired for that alone. It would be inexplicable for an NFL head coach to not be familiar with NFL overtime rules.

Not to mention it had a 2 minute warning and at least 3 of the 4 timeouts called in that stretch.  Just horrible

When they let the clock run to the 2 minute warning, love didn't look happy about it.  Still don't know why they let that happen.

Remember what Yoda said:

The lack of urgency on that drive was absolutely criminal and inexcusable. I haven't been on the fire MLF train but I'm just about ready to buy a ticket. MLF just got pantsed by Brian Schottenheimer.

The killer was the bubble screen, which is just a terrible call.  Once you get to the 10 the DB’s are up too close.  That had no chance.  Result says tie, sure feels like a loss.

The sequence seriously looked like he either thought we were down by 2, or OT2 just carried on from the last play of OT1. Unbelievable. I have never seen something so incompetent.

Wilson was getting 8 yards a pop and the DL was on ventilators. Go no huddle and run the ball. They had plenty of time. Just chose to waste it.

I won't blame Love for that 3rd down. He wants to win the game. Everything leading up to it is SQUARELY on the clown we have in the headset. The guy has absolutely zero clue on how to manage a game.

Yeah, but then why even think a swing pass to the flat to a back who wont be able to get out of bounds on 2nd down should even be thrown for a completion?

That's the stuff Love really struggles with (no doubt in part because of the coach teaching him, id imagine), and that burned almost the rest of the game clock out - then when it gets to less than 10 seconds you just should take your medicine and spike it on 3rd and kick the fg without risking the clock going to zero.

When my blood goes below boiling there will be gratitude for that 1 second left, because a loss would have been catastrophically worse and could have huge playoff implications. Then again I'm not sure it matters if we're giving up 40 points.

To be fair, defender made a great read. He was charging to that flat almost immediately.

This team needs some soul searching over the bye. You are not as good as you think you are. You just got punched in the face by two bad teams 2 weeks in a row.

MLF needs to look in the mirror as well. He shoulders a lot of blame and stop saying I need to do better. He has been saying that for the last 5 years, with no improvement.

Posted

Friendly reminder that MLF gave Rich Bisaccia the assistant head coach title to assist him with in game clock management.

So the young clueless idiot and old clueless idiot simply work together to be bad at clock management.

Yes - but he cant make that throw hoping the rb can make a guy miss to to pick up am extra two yards and stop the clock by getting out of bounds.  The read needs to be in the end zone and out breaking routes where a catch is instantly out of bounds if you are short of the goal line.

A throw away incompletion wouldve been so much better in that spot
