How?  Only one of them is on the field getting the team lined up and ready to go.

Love cant do much about it if MLF finishes the call with 7 seconds on the clock

4th down was clearly a check by Love at the line. And got the matchup he wanted. He was wide open and it was a poor throw.

Regardless of called or checked into, over and over again for a number of years we have been going deep on 4th and short, usually with poor results.

We're 4/6 on 4th down this season. Love is paid a lot of money to make that throw. Not a particularly difficult throw. Had protection, he needs to make it. I am not seeing what MLF has to do with that failure.

Because its been happening for yours under multiple QBs.  More likely a systemic issue getting play calls in.

Exactly.

So I went back to look at the play.  Love stepped into the huddle at 22 seconds (i.e. when MLF had given him the play).  They lined up for the play with 7-8 seconds left.  Dude just burnt it all down.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Sure, but he’s notorious for poor deep ball accuracy, so it’s not particularly surprising.

I'm not opposed to putting the 4th down on Love, but the play call on 3rd to even put them in that situation was absolute dung.

I get it's the letter of the law, but in reality, that is a fumble.

It’s definitely a catch and control, but not by today’s rules, unfortunately.

Good stand either way.

Too bad it didn’t happen that way.

Been happening that way for years.

I didn’t see who was to blame for the timeout, but it’s true that it’s been a systemic problem. There were halves when you’d be lucky if Rodgers left you with 1 to use in the 2 minute drill.

I know MLF said that his play calling was "wordy" when he first joined the Packers.  But they generally got that fixed with Rogers.

I already said that MLF used 13 seconds (35 down to 22) and Jordan used the rest.  Seems pretty clear on that one. Love clearly doesn't manage the clock nor watch the clock at all.  He wasn't even hurrying as the clock got to zero.

I mean, I believe you, and yes it’s his job to keep an eye on the play clock as he’s coming up to the line, no excuse. Just saying, it’s been an ongoing issue.

Havrisk has been excellent.  Someone is going to pick him up when McManus is healthy.

It would be reassuring to blow the doors off one of these crappy teams we've played, but we don't seem capable of doing that yet.

Blow the doors off? I’ll just take a singular road win.
