You served us well, 2025 Minor League Transaction Thread (now locked).

We await 2026's moves within this new thread.

When possible, we'd prefer this thread be limited on commentary/discussions and remain a repository of the moves themselves, though some posts will inevitably enter that way. Moderators have the ability to split and merge threads as needed to make sense of the flow on the forum.

Technically the international players who sign today are among Brewers "transactions". However, like in years past, we'll push discussion regarding the updates today to this thread in our Draft/International Forum.

It's only a technicality, but only one of the 22 signings has not been acknowledged on MiLB.com as a formal transaction - Dominican catcher Francisco Mir.

The Brewers add a catcher and, most importantly, real MLB competition for Quero and the back-up Brewers catching role:

C Francisco de Marchena Mir is now listed as having signed on January 15th.

Played for the Orioles organization last year. Ended in Triple-A Norfolk tho did receive a very brief 4-Day call-up in early August.

We’ve added speedy corner outfielder Jacob Hurtubise

Looks like he plays CF and has 255 SB and 11 HR in over 2500 PA in his career.  He has a 420 OBP (wow!) and 350 SLG (ehh) in his career.  He is 28 years old.  The Brewers sure have a type, don't they.

- DSL Brewers Gold released 1B/3B Joandrew Pena

Whether Jhoanjel Saez (as listed a few posts above), or Pena, the Brewers are consistent in giving youngsters a second season before a release, even if in Peña’s case it was extremely limited due to injury (six games.). Hopefully Pena is healthy in terms of everyday life.

Via "brewersfarm"'s Instagram account it was noted that Pena had the 4th largest bonus in the 2024 class. Looked it up, it was $500,000, so a definite miss to not even get him stateside.

Mora was signed in June 2022 out of the Dominican Republic, posting a 5.50 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 8.1 K/9 in 34.1 IP in the Dominican Summer League that same year. Getting to start 9 of 10 games pitched was a signal that Mora was something of a priority pitcher for the organization.

Unfortunately, he missed the 2023 and 2024 seasons with an injury before returning to action in May 2025 in the Arizona Complex League: 2.08 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, 10.4 K/9 in 13 IP in 11 relief appearances. His exit in his final outing on July 1, 2025 coincided with an "injury delay" in the game log, though he wasn't placed on any injured list to our knowledge.

We hope Daurys is fully healthy and wish the 22-year old success in his future endeavors.

- RHP Fabian Reyes released by DSL Brewers Gold
- RHP Jesus Molina released by DSL Brewers Gold

Reyes, 21 years old from the Dominican Republic, was signed in June 2024 and had a great first season in the DSL: 1.62 ERA, 1.26 WHIP with 21 Ks in 16.2 IP in 13 relief appearances. Unfortunately, he crashed back to Earth in 2025, again in the DSL: 7.94 ERA, 1.65 WHIP, 24 Ks in 17 IP in 15 games in relief. We wish him luck in his next opportunity.

Molina, 20 years old from Venezuela, unfortunately never got to make his official debut with the Brewers. He signed in April 2025 and went on the 60-day injured list in June 2025. We hope that he's fully healthy and wish him well.

Ugh. No 😩 I knew about Flores. But was hoping Rudy would be healthy and hoping Griffin Tobias was not serious but I’m guessing he had a serious elbow injury at the end of last year? I don’t recall hearing or seeing anything on him but may have missed it. And Corniel, Smith and Timber an still being out stinks.

Brewers released 20-year-old RHP Alejandro Parra. He was entering his 3rd season as a pro, signed in the final "July" international signing period, 2023, but didn't debut until 2024.

The Dominican native only appeared in five games total, all in the Dominican Summer League, three in '24 before an injured list stint ended his season as of June 21st. He returned to make two one-inning starts a week apart in August of 2025.

Given that timeline, we can guess on an elbow procedure, but that's purely speculative, perhaps @ARobsBrewCrew is aware of the nature of said injury.

Good luck to the young man moving forward.
