The Milwaukee Brewers have announced the following moves that impact the Nashville Sounds roster: 
 

ADD:

• INF Daniel Guilarte transferred to Nashville from Double-A Biloxi (has not been assigned a number yet)

REMOVE:

• INF Eric Brown Jr. placed on the Injured List 

The Nashville Sounds roster currently sits at 28 active (that is the AAA limit) + 1 MLB Rehab + 8 Injured List + 1 Development List

Going Pro: Mueller Signs UDFA Contract With Milwaukee Brewers

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi baseball team had one of its own join the professional ranks on Wednesday, as pitcher Nathan Mueller signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Mueller, a native of Fort Worth, joined the Islanders prior to the 2026 campaign after spending two seasons at Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma. In his lone season in the blue and green, he appeared in 20 games and made five starts, posting a record of 1-1 while striking out 29 batters in 29.1 innings of work.
 
"The entire Islanders family is super proud of Nate for signing with the Milwaukee Brewers," A&M-Corpus Christi head coach Scott Malone said. "Nate's work ethic is unmatched, and there is no doubt his best days are in front of him. Islanders Baseball takes pride in the role we played in helping move Nate closer to his goal of pitching in the big leagues."
 
Over the summer, Mueller pitched in the West Coast League for the Victoria Harbourcats, where he posted a 4.66 ERA in five games while punching out 14 hitters against just three walks in 9.2 innings.
 
In signing on with the Brewers, Mueller becomes the first Islander to join an MLB organization since pitcher Matthew Watson, who was drafted by the Padres in the 13th round of the 2024 Amateur Draft.

2026 HarbourCats Reliever Lands Pro Contract

VICTORIA, B.C. — Hard-throwing right-hander Nathan Mueller has used a summer with the Victoria HarbourCats to land an MLB contract.

The six-foot-five, 215-pound Fort Worth product, who was at Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, has inked a deal with the Milwaukee Brewers, after spending the summer in the West Coast League in Victoria.

Mueller, 22, joined the team for the second half and made five appearances, including a start. He had 14 strikeouts and just three walks in 9.2 innings, including six strikeouts in three innings of work on July 29 against Port Angeles. He topped 97 MPH as a HarbourCat.

“From day one, Nate arrived in Victoria to take full advantage of his summer baseball opportunity, and signing with the Brewers is a testament to his work ethic, professional mindset and competitive drive,” said Todd Haney, Head Coach of the Victoria HarbourCats.

The HarbourCats have had eight former players advance to play at the MLB level, including current stars Nathan Lukes (Blue Jays), Nick Pivetta (Padres), Cade Smith (Guardians), Andrew Vaughn (Brewers) and Chase Meidroth (White Sox), who all play prominent roles on their teams.

This past summer, six other former HarbourCats were drafted or signed after the MLB selection process in July – Cody Howard, Carson Cormier, Owen Clyne, Ryne Palmer, Cade Rusch, and Will Zielinski.

UPDATE on Mueller - This Bio page from the summer league lists his birthdate as 12/10/04, so he'd be 21 years old today, not 22.

• Nashville Sounds transferred RHP Will Childers from the 7-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.

And Torres is also Rule 5 eligible, so I wonder if this puts him in play to be protected.

Teams have been known to take a flyer on LH SPs who they can stash in the bullpen for a year.
