High-A Wisconsin can clinch a series win in Peoria on Mother’s Day behind RHP Jason Woodward (2.16 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 7.6 K/9 in 8.1 IP) who’ll see his first action since a ball off the forearm shortened his outing last Sunday. DH/C Marco Dinges has 5 hits and 6 RBIs over his last 2 games.

Hardin and Letson have really not been performing up to expectations this season. They were so good in high A and fine in the short stints at AA, I expected both to pitch average at least, but this start to the season has put cold water on penciling either in to the 2027 rotation.
Woodward building up innings slowly.  It has been a good showing in terms of peripheral for him, would love to see him stay healthy all season.

Encarnacion continues to be a revelation for Wilson. Another jack today. Bitonti 5-for-5 with 2 dubs and a dinger. Fischer 4-for-5 with 2 round trippers and a three-bagger?! Luis Castillo (!!) with a double and three feee passes. Burke with his 10th and 11th HR today becoming the fastest Shucker ever to 10 HR. Jett Williams continues to heat up with a 2-for-3, 1 2B, 2 BB performance. Woodward with 6 K in 2 1/3 IP. Ol Reliable Garrett Stallings goes six scoreless scattering 3 H and 1 BB. Cameron Wagoner with another scoreless 2 K frame.

Lots of zesty lines today!

Timber Rattler José Nova stranded the runner he inherited. That’s good!

As for the error, the HBP, and the (gulp) seven wild pitches that followed, well, that’ll catch your eye.

Have to feel for the 24-year-old.

The juiced ball in the minors (AA and below) is seriously warping typical offensive numbers. This is pretty crazy. Hard to take any of these hitting and pitching numbers seriously at this point.

It would be nice to see Fischer really get it going  and cut down on the strikeouts.

Would 2 homers, a triple, and 4 base hits total count?

That's what he did today,
