That’s a terrific season debut for 17-year old LHP Santiago Martinez of DSL Brewers Gold: 5 shutout innings, 7 Ks, 1 single, 1 walk.

Unfortunately, Gold came up short again, despite allowing no earned runs and just the 1 hit. That’s a 1-0 defeat and Manager Natanael Mejia’s squad drops to 0-4.

This is from BA's 2025 IFA class review:

The Brewers’ class is heavy on position players, but one under-the-radar pitcher to keep an eye on is Venezuelan lefthander Santiago Martinez, who signed for $80,000. He’s still 16, so he’s young for the class and started to trend up later in the scouting process. At 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, Martinez is reaching the low-90s now and generates excellent spin on a tight curveball from a sound, athletic delivery.

Serious shootout between ACL Rangers and ACL Brewers. A combined 24 runs, 27 hits, 4 errors and 8 caught stealing thus far.

Tied 12-12 heading to the 9th inning.

SS CJ Hughes is 3-for-4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBIs, but exited after the 7th inning.

After stranding the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th inning, then allowing the ghost runner to score in the 10th, 3B Yu-Lin Liao hits his first professional homer - a walk-off 2-run shot with 1 out in the bottom of the 10th!

The ACL Brewers win 14-13!

1B Brock Wilken (.610 OPS in 211 PAs) is back for his first action in 9 days as AAA Nashville seek to even this week’s series at Jacksonville behind LHP Thomas Pannone (3.03 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 6.1 K/9 in 29.2 IP). This is Jett Williams‘ (.715 OPS in 256 PAs) third consecutive start in center field.

Third day off in a row for Lara. Anything worth knowing?

In yesterday's thread Mass Haas noted a pregame interview form a few days back where Rick Sweet mentioned there was a bug going around the Nashville clubhouse.

3B Andrew Fischer…leadoff hitter? The Midwest League’s home run leader (16 in 47 games) sits atop High-A Wisconsin’s lineup for the first time in 2026, as they aim to clinch a series win at Cedar Rapids. 19-year old RHP Ethan Dorchies (7.30 ERA, 1.65 WHIP, 8.3 K/9 in 37 IP) really needs to turn his 2026 campaign around.

Benched on orders up from Murphy to troll the “free Lara” crowd.

Pratt was 2/4 today with a 2B, he continues to inch his way to the bigs. Especially with Jett and Leonard going through slumps.

Wilson had 11 bb today as a team, it seems like they get 10 walks every other day or so. Is it just bad pitching or do we have excessively patient hitters there? Probably both?

Also it is wonderful to see Dorchies starting to gain momentum 5.1 inn. 1 run (0 earned) 4 h 3 bb 5 k. Hopefully he is rounding into form.

Yeah, Ethan Dorchies throwing 95 pitches with zero earned runs was not on my bingo card. Big outing for him. Sad the bullpen couldn’t hold it.

Terrific comeback by Wilson from down 6-2. Jose Anderson particularly enjoyed his 12th homer, a walk-off grand slam in the 11th inning.
