Have a confession to make.

With all due respect to the hard-working draftniks out there, with one exception (pushing for Prince Fielder to be drafted in 2002, he was not expected to be picked 7th overall, so thank me Brewer fans), I just can't fathom the energy expended on draft prep as a fan.

Do I want to know every detail about each one of the Brewers' picks? Of course. But after the fact! Because there's 30+ first rounders who the Brewers didn't pick.

I get all the machinations that go into the day, so knock yourselves out, those who enjoy. Meanwhile, I'll review the post-draft board and every morsel then written and recorded about the Crew's selections.

Big January 2026 international signing SS Diego Frontado returned to the DSL Brewers Blue for his first action in 16 days. Great sign.

Another good sign: Blue pitchers combined on a 9-inning shutout with 14 strikeouts.

Though Blue hitters only pushed 1 run across, they also only K’d 3 times.

18-year old RHP Raymond Sarmiento led DSL Brewers Gold as the staff tossed a 2-hitter over 9 innings, though it was still a close win at 4-3.

Ricki Moneys had a 2-run homer and a double.

Sarmiento has allowed 1 earned run in his last 4 games (18 innings). Safe to say he’ll be in Arizona next spring.

20-year old RHP Josh Knoth (3.14 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 9.1 K/9 in 28.2 High-A IP) makes his 9th start for Wisconsin as they seek to grab a 3-2 home series lead over Beloit. 2B Daniel Dickinson is 6-for-11 with 2 homers and 7 RBIs over his last 3 games.

LHP Thomas Pannone (4.33 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 7.0 K/9 in 60.1 IP) has thrown at least 80 pitches in each of his last 6 outings and will try to tame Charlotte on the road tonight to give AAA Nashville a 3-2 series lead. LF Tyler Black has gone 4-for-7 with a homer, double, 2 walks and a stolen base over his last 2 games.

23-year old RHP Braylon Owens makes his first AA start (3.2 IP, 3 R, 7 Ks in relief in first appearance) as the Shuckers need a win avoid a series defeat at Knoxville. C Matt Wood (.909 OPS in 251 PAs) is 15-for-27 during his 7-game hitting streak.

RHP Hayden Robinson has allowed 2 earned runs over his last 3 games (11.1 IP), but walked 5 batters last time out. He leads Low-A Wilson as they aim to clinch a 4-1 home series win over Fayetteville. 19-year old RF Jose Anderson is 4-for-8 with 3 solo homers and a walk over his last 2 games, including yesterday’s walk-off blast.

The good news is that Josh Knoth pitched into the 5th. The bad news was two base runners and then a 3 run HR allowed. Knoth hung it. He stuck around for 2 more outs. But 4.2 IP, 81 pitches, and then 5 ER.

Shuckers only 3 R on 5H, but Braylon Owens and Yorman Galindez combine for 1 run allowed on 5 hits for the win.  Owen’s with the W, Galindez with the S.

Tough inning for Low. As he gives up 4 runs. But Daniel Dickinson HR gets a run back. Is this a hot streak, or is this a turnaround for young Dickinson?
