Things are finally in motion. I’m thinking Skubal will be a Dodger with Ohtani’s knee shelving him.
So, I’m thinking Quero is headed somewhere. Either by himself or in a package. Here’s my ideas to what they could get for him.

1. Robbie Ray- To me, this is the guy. I’ve been saying this for two months now. One for one…..or possibly a Wilken type prospect added to the mix.

2. Hunter Greene- Quero in a package with Sproat might get this done.

3. Kevin Gausman- Quero and Payne?
4. Logan Webb- Quero, Jett Williams, and Knoth

Gimme some feedback!!

The Reds are telling teams that Hunter Greene is no longer available, reports USA Today’s Bob Nightengale.

We’re inclined to believe that Nightengale has this one correct. However, MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand reports that the Reds are still listening to offers and there’s a “50-50" chance that Greene is moved. It seemed a little far-fetched that the Reds were going to move on from Greene with multiple years left on his contract after reports surfaced earlier this week. Anything is possible and the emergence of Chase Burns as a certifiable front-of-the-rotation arm has probably made their decision easier.

Quero has no substantial trade value after shoulder surgery and now a biceps injury. His high value will be regained only if and when his arm is demonstrably recovered. Sad but most likely true.

I was a bit surprised they extended Burns after Greene has been hurt like he has.

i just basically looked at teams that are selling and are weak at the catching position.

To me, Alejandro Kirk will be a DH before too long. That’s why Gausman is in the original post.

For everyone worried about Miz, and his threat of injury, I would feel even more concerned about Burns with his over-the-top delivery. I have no idea if that delivery is more/less easy on the arm, but it's a noteworthy arm angle that looks uncomfortable to me.

In what world are we living thinking a 24 year old in AAA hitting .176 with moderate power output and a swing and miss profile is a prospect?  Would anyone here be excited trading for that type of profile?
