I mean what teams can match up against the Dodgers when they have a 800M payroll and can defer money for years down the road?

So it is futile?  I'm really confused now.....

I think all fans are emotional. It's not unique to Brewer fans

True but it’s insane to be this emotional when it’s a 162 game season and the Brewers are the best team in baseball. Just enjoy the ride it’s not always gonna be like this

The Brewers are so good in the regular season beating top teams. Best record, best run differential, best record against teams over.500. It may not translate to the playoffs. My dad is an old timer who threw remotes 🤣. Now it’s messages on a fan board.

No one is required to be a fan the way you are....everyone is allowed to fan how they want to fan.  If you don't like it, ignore them.

That’s what’s so ridiculous about all these dumb hot takes during the game. Brewers are the best team in baseball. They play the game the right way, great defense, offense works the counts yet one or two mistakes during the game and all you hear is this player sucks or this player is washed up, cut this guy etc

Like just relax and enjoy the Brewers on pace for having the best record ever in team history

I mean, I get childhood trauma but what business is it of yours if I want to throw a remote (I don't, just saying).  There are more than a few on here that think everyone has to fan the way they do.  Not so.  Ignore what you don't like.

You are a champion of telling others how to post. Why does it bother you when people are called out for insane posts? Fan how you want to. I fan by being reasonable.

I've not once told you or anyone else how to post so this is a complete fabrication.  I'm just saying let EVERYONE post how they want to post, incuding you.

So you’re telling me how I can or can’t post? Why do you care if we tell others what we think?

I don’t want to ignore. You post how you do, I post how I do. It’s not a big deal.

Public service announcement

We can refrain from defining someone else’s posting style. It generally detracts from the conversation when we say Poster X is too negative or Poster Y is too positive.

Just to put things in perspective, I’m going to go back just under 20 years and 11 months ago, on a cool Friday night in Pittsburgh. The Brewers were playing their third to last game of the season against the Pirates. Vibes were high after the Brewers had just won their last home game of the year with a Gary Glover masterpiece in front of a full house of freeloaders (relatively new owner Mark Attanasio made every ticket at the ballpark free that game). But now the Brewers had to hit their goal in Pittsburgh. The Brewers had a slight 6-5 lead in the bottom of the 9th. Closer Derrick Turnbow got the first two outs easily, and now he had to face Tike Redman of the Pirates. Redman hit a ground ball to 2nd base. Bill Hall picked it up, threw it to Lyle Overbay, and it was done. The Brewers had done it, and it was shown prominently on the TV screen: “Clinched .500 Record”.

I bring this up because at the time, this had been among my most exciting moments as a Brewer fan. For the first time in my Brewers fandom (I was a freshman in college at the time), the Brewers weren’t going to finish with a losing record. Today, the Brewers won their 81st game of the year. On August 22. As frustrating as this team can be sometimes, we have it good. Really good. Mark Attanasio is a reason for that. Matt Arnold is a reason for that. Pat Murphy is a reason for that. Our scouting, pitching lab, and minor league staffs are reasons for that. And of course every player from Ashby to Zerpa is a reason for that (I think I got the first and last players alphabetically for this year).

I know the grass always seems greener on the other side, but for all of our complaints about Murphy and Attanasio and Arnold and the players as a whole, if we tried to replace them, it is very likely we’d do worse, and possibly much much worse.

I will never understand why people care about this ********.     Like why does it matter to you so much

its not good enough that the brewers having been playing well the last week or so.     You need to also tell everyone how great of a fan you are how terrible a fan they are.   It’s so incredibly lame

Maybe If everyone would remember that we are all brewers fans and want them to win equally that would be a good baseline

You forgot the part where Milwaukee lost the final two games of the season and failed to secure a winning record…grumble…grumble

In seriousness, Brewers came back from five runs the game you mentioned. We had a fun lineup.

Goes both ways, why do you care how others post?

Why do you care if people tell others what they think?

This is tedious.

Well Turbs. Why respond about these tedious posts? You get sucked in and then tell others how to post when disliking how others post. Embrace your negativity as I have embraced my positivity

The Brewers have been highly successful and in the last decade are one of the best-run franchises in all of sports.

It's also completely natural for the fan base to have a skepticism at this point and demand a championship, and not care all that much about having the best record in August. Totally natural progression that comes with long-term success in the regular season. I don't begrudge anyone for being "spoiled" at this point, because quite honestly with 0 titles nobody has been spoiled.

Both things can be true.
