Game 132 | Mets 3, Brewers 2

MIL Starter: Kyle Harrison (6.0 IP, 6 H, BB, ER, 5 K)

Top Performers:
William Contreras (3 H, BB, 2 2B)

Kyle Harrison and Zac Thornton locked into a pitching duel in The Big Apple on Monday, as both the Brewers and Mets hurlers delivered six-inning, one-run outings. The game would come down to the wire, as a pinch-hit game-tying double off the bat of Christian Yelich tied the game in the 9th, but the Brewers would eventually fall in extra innings by the score of 3-2.

Christian Yelich’s game-tying double (+37.4 WP%)

Game 133 | Brewers 8, Mets 1

MIL Starter: Dustin May (0.1 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 ER)

Top Performers:
Robert Gasser (5.1 IP, 6 H, 2 BB, ER, 6 K)
Sal Frelick (3 H, BB, 2B, 2 RBI)
Brice Turang (H, 2 BB, HR, 3 RBI)

The Brewers evened the series on Wednesday despite a one-pitch outing from Dustin May, who exited after being struck with a comebacker on his very first pitch of the game. Robert Gasser picked up the slack behind him, though, turning in 5.1 innings of one-run baseball, while the recently returned Sal Frelick recorded 3 hits en route to the Brewers beating up on Robert Stock and the Mets staff.

Brice Turang goes yard (+6.4 WP%)

Game 134 | Brewers 8, Mets 2

MIL Starter: Jacob Misiorowski (6.0 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 2 ER, 6 K)

Top Performers:
Jackson Chourio (4 H, 2 HR, 4 RBI)
Joey Ortiz (2 H, 3B)
DL Hall (1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K)

The Brewers made it four consecutive series wins on Thursday by capturing the rubber match, and they did so behind Jacob Misiorowski, who, despite lowered velocity, gave the Brewers another quality start. The offense was the Jackson Chourio show, with the blossoming star recording a four-hit, four-RBI day that included two homers.

Game 135 | Brewers 6, Rangers 1

MIL Starter: Logan Henderson (7.0 IP, H, 0 BB, ER, 7 K)

Top Performers:
Christian Yelich (3 H, 2B, RBI)
Jake Bauers (2 H, 3 BB)
William Contreras (2 H, 3 RBI)

It was back to American Family Field as the Brewers welcomed in an AL playoff hopeful in the Texas Rangers. Logan Henderson proceeded to carve them up, allowing just a solo homer to Danny Jansen en route to seven innings of dominant pitching. Meanwhile, the middle of the Brewers' order produced, with the trio of Christian Yelich, Jake Bauers, and William Contreras combining to reach base 10 times.

Game 136 | Brewers 5, Rangers 3

MIL Starter: Shane Drohan (5.0 IP, 6 H, BB, ER, 6 K)

Top Performers:
William Contreras (2 H, BB, HR, RBI)
Luis Lara (2 H, 2 RBI)
Jackson Chourio (H, HR, RBI)

Saturday saw Shane Drohan keep up the Brewers' streak of strong pitching performances to help the team push their series win streak to five, while this time, the offense was driven by a pair of solo homers in the first inning off the bats of Jackson Chourio and William Contreras.

William Contreras sends one out (+9.3 WP%)

Game 137 | Rangers 7, Brewers 4

MIL Starter: Dustin May (4.1 IP, 6 H, 3 BB, 4 ER, 4 K)

Top Performers:
Bryse Wilson (2.2 IP, H, BB, 0 ER, 2 K)
Gary Sánchez (H, BB, HR, 2 RBI)

Dustin May didn't quite have the bounce-back appearance he wanted, as shaky Command was his downfall as the Rangers chased the Brewers trade deadline acquisition from the game in the 5th inning. They'd add off Grand Anderson to then put the game out of reach, and the Rangers would get out of town and avoid the sweep 7-4.

Gary Sánchez's 200th career big fly (+5.3 WP%)
