Are you sure it's not Nelson Cruz? I thought Brad Nelson was sent down to minor league camp. Which ever one hit it I'm glad to see them hit it. Just not sure on which Nelson though.

Nelson Cruz is currently playing against the Giants. If he just hit a 3 run jack against the rangers too then he's more talented than we thought!

No I think we cut Matheny, or at least non-tendered him, in order to make room for Henry Blanco. We traded Vina to Stl for Juan Acevedo - whowas later flipped for Dejean.

 

It could have been Brad Nelson who hit the HR because many minor league guys are playing today because of the Split Squad. ANd Bob just confirmed it.

Matheny sucks. Always has. Its only against Milwaukee that he can hit. He has a career OPS of .629. Against Milwauke over the past three seasons hit he had an OPS of .903
