A lot of interest in tonight's game I see.

Another, uh, interesting lineup by Nedley.

Crew down 1-0 already. DLR just doesn't look comfortable. I really can't see him ever being a member of the starting rotation, not a huge fan of his stuff at this point.

What is the delivery address for the Brewers? I am wanting to send a couple of pair of shoes to the dugout for Krynzel to polish up for me.

I wonder if the Cards would listen to offers for So Taguchi.

Ugh.

I love it when this time of the year rolls around. And by that I mean playing for a draft pick.

This is my first time seeing De La Rosa, and I love his motion. The only thing I'd like to see is that it appears he could keep his weight back a touch longer. Right now his body gets way ahead of his arm. This is the same thing Sheets worked on in spring training, which is why I think he's shown a curveball far superior this year over previous seasons.

Before the game Daron & Bill mentioned that Lyle Overbay wasn't in the lineup, and may only get one start in this series. Why? Is it because he has been cold lately? Is he injured and I missed something? Is it the errors?

Of course, that means Wes Helms will get more playing time. At least the Brewers have scored a few runs in this one...

"He's looking a little tired," Yost said. "We'll give him some days off this series and have him ready to go against Houston."

From Adam McCalvy's latest notes column.

and I keep forgetting about Morris, but he's on my free agent wishlist, too. I know we probably won't sign anyone, but for pitcher they are (in order) Radke, Morris, Benson, and Lowe. I figure Pavano, Clement, and Pedro are all a little expensive

Solid job by JDLR tonight... even sans Edmonds and Rolen, this St. Louis lineup is pretty good. Hopefully he can build on this the next time out and end the year on a high note.

Mark Johnson's done a nice job tonight, too, BTW. I dare say he's a better defensive catcher than both Moeller and Bennett, although he did double-clutch a throw down to second. Even if he's not better, he's at least in their same class... I wouldn't have a problem with him as the backup if we acquire someone good to start (like Miller).
