Is the Wes Obermueller nightmare over yet?

If this was last year, he'd be one of our best pitchers... but this year? Which one of these is not like the others.....

I do, Wes has some sort of psychological impasse when it comes to the sixth and his manager punishes him by not being prepared for it. Once the game was tied Yost should have had the 'pen ready to go.

You see, if you look around the major leagues, fifth starters are terrible everywhere. But it's not always the same guy on each team -- you try multiple guys and you may get lucky. But Doug and Ned aren't following that philosophy by refusing to budge on Wes.

Some of those balls just found holes.

That's one of the problems. Obermueller can't strike anybody out. He didn't have any K's tonight. In 62 innings pitched this year, he has 28 strikeouts. That's pathetic.

Pitchers get into jams all the time. However, the good ones can work their way out of jams by striking guys out. The bad pitchers do what Obermuller did in the sixth - compound on the problem. After the run scoring double, Obermueller walked a guy then hit another.

Im not in the major leagues, so I give all the kudos for Wes for making it this far. However, it is now QUITE clear that Wes Obermueller does not belong in the major leagues. The only reason he is in the majors is because he is with one of the handful of organizations that could afford to bring him up and look at him for a half of a season.

Ben Hendrickson is pitching so well in AAA right now that there is NO reason he can't be with the team full-time. You can't reap the benefits of the strong farm system by letting a guy sit in AAA despite showing for quite a while now that he is ready for the next level.

It doesn't matter if the Brewers started Cy Young against these guys. If you can't score any runs and you just can't seem to get anything right against these b@stards from Pittsburgh its all a moot point.

Im going to be positive about this. If Cappy can give us a good start tomorrow, the Brewers can go face the Cubs at 5 games over .500.

Then again, Pittsburgh is tossing Sean Burnett at us...

I couldn't even type in double play before Bennett did it.

I'm sorry I usually don't question the manager, but wake up Ned!!!

Bennett is so bad hitting there is absolutely no reason to let him stay in there. Fine start him 2 out of 5 games, but when the game is on the line, try someone else please.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

The bench was pretty much bone dry.

When you carry 13 pitchers you really can end up shorthanded on pinch hitters some games and end up being forced to bat the worst hitter in baseball,Mr. Bennett.

Bennett is making 600K this year, what a charmed dude.

Coming into today, in 121 PA Bennet has 6.8 RC. To put in perspective, Wes Helms who has not been doing much this year, has 15.8 RC in 150 PA.
