Lucroy and LaPorta All-Americans

Lucroy was named third team all-american by Baseball America.

LaPorta was the 1st team DH.

I talked to someone in side the Brewers baseball opps over the weekend that said that the Brewers are absolutely in LOVE with LuCroy. It was the first name he brought up when he talked about the draft.

Kind of off subject but does he immediately surpass the Grand Salome on our org.'s future depth chart at catcher? Whenever I am asked what my ideal catching prospect is, I take no time in exclaiming that it would be a short, young gent with a howitzer arm, who DH's on his days off. Kind of a Salome fan....

As of now, Angel is thriving in a tough league and tough park. He may stay there till August, with private Lou moving to AAA, but I can't say anyone has surpassed Angel yet. On a current time frame, he'll hit AAA at some point next year.
