I only hope that the Brewers win Friday and Saturday and the cubbies lose both games just so that some can see how ridiculous it is to say that the season is over.

It's hardly over. Baseball is a streaky game, the Cubs could easily end the year on a sour note, and we could play well for the last week and a half. I think it's way to early to be saying that the season is over.

Sure, its not over but now is the time the 'Crew needs a steak the right direction. Down side is now we also have to pull for the Cubs to go south @ the same time. Might be a lot to ask for but...still can happen.

Cubs could plausibly go 4-5 the rest of the way, they really haven't been playing all that well though they are still managing to get wins because of the poor teams they have played.

If the Cubs go 5-4 or better I think our chances are very slim given who we play.

To me, a lot depends on Sheets. If he can go, there's a much better chance. If he can't go, it may be the final nail. But that's why they play the games. On paper, it looks like the Cubs will win. But, you never know how the ball will bounce.

My guess, when the road trip started, was a 4-3 road trip and 5-2 home stand would give them a pretty good chance. I thought that was a tall order. I'm not changing that guess based on one loss...so that means 7-3.

I'm expecting the Cubs will win it, but hoping otherwise.
