Is Zack Braddock a shoe in top 10... top 5? Just wondering what others think. I know its still early but his numbers are impressive he is a LHer with a great frame and only 19, but only a year removed from 31BB vs 30K in 39IP. Just hope he dosnt revert to last year.

We had reports from Zach himself last week that he's an 89-91 kinda guy...I'm going to speak to him in a couple of weeks, and hopefully see him pitch so i'll try to verify this..

for a lefty, a 91 MPH fastball is pretty good...i'd be more concerened about the lack of overpowering velocity if he was a righty...

Not to compare him to anyone, as i've never seen him pitch, but he throws harder than Jeff Housman and not as hard as Manny Parra

Good to hear that he sneaks into the lower 90s with his heater. For a lefty that is plenty good. What kind of off speed stuff? Planning a write up after you talk to him?

If i get to see him pitch, i'll go as in depth as possible...otherwise, it'll just be a paragraph or two...

Just a reminder, you can purchase a one-day pass from MiLB.com ($3.95), and then watch the archived West Virginia TV game from April 25th, in which Zach Braddock and Alex Periard combined to win 7-1, walking none and striking out nine between them.

Been meaning to do this myself, haven't done so yet -- there's also a couple of Yovani Gallardo archives you could pull up while on that same one-day pass.
