I thought two things when I read this...

 

1. I'll bet Jr gets a standing O the next time he plays in Denver.

2. Sr couldn't jump up and hit his head on the ceiling if he jumped from the bed, much less the floor.

Maybe it was an extremely springy bed from which Gwynn Sr jumped up.

 

As a Brewer fan, I'd accept a fruit basket from the Rockies or Rockies fans, if they're looking to make a small yet meaningful thank-you gesture.

Can't help but feel a nice connection between our two teams, with us helping them into the playoffs and then the merger of the sponsors. And I've said the Rockies have been my 2nd favorite team all along, albiet a distant second.

The Brewers and Rockies even had some shared broadcasts during spring training where they combined broadcasters and production crews.
