Every few months you see a thread about wondering how to get a job working in baseball...

 

I happened to come across a few job openings that the Brewers are currently advertising and thought I would post them here in case anyone was interested.

I'm not sure that the sports reporter position is for the Brewers, or just MLB in general. I've actually applied a few times for the reporter position but never heard back (not that I even expected to... just sort of did it for kicks).

i remember running into an editorial job that i debated applying for. i was qualified and it obviously would have been fun work, but the fact it was only a six-month gig turned me off.

I've never seen one. I know, back in the day (2002 or so), I sent them a resume and never got a response... There's only a couple of IT people on staff... mostly networking stuff, I believe. I don't think they do in-house development for custom software.

that stats stringer job is posted every year it seems...at least it has been for the past few.

I'd love to work for MLB as a programmer. I'm sure it wouldn't be glamorous, and I'm sure I'd have little exposure to the baseball side of things, but I'd sure take a lot of pride in my work.

I might grab an application, and fill it out, but under position just put in "relief pitcher" just for kicks. I wonder how many applications they get like that. I mean, I'm an even softer thrower than Brian Shouse, but I do have a pretty decent curveball.
