Sarfate

I saw some stats the other day on Sarfate. 12.33 innings, 2 hits, 3 walks, 19 K's. Are those accurate. Seems like that is a little too dominating?

When Sarfate was with Beloit, I had the pleasure of having a couple conversations with him during a series in the Fox Cities against the Timber Rattlers. Dennis Sarfate = good people.

I think Sarfate will earn a well-deserved spot in the bullpen to start the season.

Ditto. He's got the stuff to get the job done. Hopefully he can reign in his control. He's out of options, so he has to stick. I can't see the Brewers letting an arm like his walk, but then again, this isn't the 2004 Brewers where they could get away with carrying guys they basically couldn't use.

I like his chances of winning a pen spot on talent alone. Worst case, I see him in the pen out of ST, and at some point (if he doesn't have his control issues figured out), a difficult decision may have to be made. I'm pulling for him. Good guy, as others have stated.

To be honest, letting Sarfate go would be like the Angels letting Tbow walk. He's got a fantastic arm, just needs some tweaking and experience.
