yeah, should be pretty neat. And in prime time, too. It's not as cool as a solar eclipse but cool in it's own way.

 

Gotta wonder how people from a many ages ago reacted for eclipses. If they even truly knew what it meant. I know there's some stuff out there about their thinking it was something to do with their gods but who knows. I would think a lunar eclipse would freak them out even more, since so many people back then worshiped the sun and not the moon. They probably wondered what was up.

Here's something that I found that gives a little revelation to the past. Not a big surprise really. I guess I was talking about even further back than this--like 10 AD or 355 BC or something.

Thought I'd be the cool Dad who let her daughter check out the eclipse so she could talk about it in kindergarten in the morning...the response I got?

 

"Dad, can I go to bed now?"

 

Man, I had no interest but thought I'd let her see. What a letdown.
