  1. That was one of the worst strike-3 calls I've seen all year. I'd like to see that one again.
  2. I think the Brewers really like hitting against the Phillies in this park. Keep on hitting, Adam.
  3. Love how Howard chased Braun when all he had to do was walk over and touch first.
  4. I'd rather have a top-5 pick than a 15th overall, just because the team won some more games that were (are) meaningless. If the Brewers can knock some team from the playoffs at the end of the year, I'll feel better about this season. As it is, we're staring a rebuild right in the face (we are, aren't we??) and we need high draft picks more than I need to enjoy a Tuesday evening game. Just my .02.
  5. No, Brian, Perez did not have to hold up because he was waiting to see what Gennett was going to do. He thought it was gone.. and so did I.
  6. Why do our outfielders always seem to allow runners to advance. Not an error in the scorebook, but still a terrible play. It's impressive that they're looking worse, way worse, than the Phillies. Well done, Brewers.
  7. I thought it was funny that as of yesterday's Brewer game, the Phillies hadn't announced a single starting pitcher for the four game series.
  8. Because the team is playing poorly attendance is already declining. He should be looking long term here. If we can improve the farm and the big club so we win more consistently he won't have to worry about attendance. Brewer fans have shown if you put a decent product on the diamond they'll show up. Hence the issue. 75 - 80 wins might be considered decent; decent enough to at least keep enough casual fans in the park, but not decent enough to actually compete for anything. It's baseball purgatory to be stuck in that range of wins. You won't be able to draft in the top-5, and it will take a team full of career years to get into the playoffs. Yuck.
  9. Geez Garza.. seemed to be doing pretty well and then bam, 3 runs on the board.
  10. One run will probably be enough today the way that deGrom is throwing (and the way the Brewers are swinging the bats against him).
  11. It really irks me when this happens. The Brewers have chosen not to televise the game, yet MLB Network is blocked out. I understand when it's on both channels, but in this case, the Brewers chose not to put it on TV, yet we still can't watch the feed from another channel. It's on MLB Network's alternative channel, if you get that. These commentators are really hating on the fact that the Brewers have a roof but they're not closing it in the rain. I've got to say, they've got a good point.
  12. All three hitters took terrible approaches and all got themselves out. I was going to comment on it, but didn't want to be too negative since they scored two runs already. The Brewers - if they can get into a hitter's count - will take defensive swings when they're in the drivers seat, so-to-speak. It's been going on for quite a long time.
  13. I can't tell if we actually have a good bench, or they just look good because the regulars are so putrid. Ah yes, there's the homerun given up by a starter. Another tape-measure shot. Not a lot of opponents homeruns have been cheap this year; it seems like the good majority are bombs.
  14. I can't believe there were two separate Hank bobblehead days. Who collects all these stupid bobbleheads? It's just more junk your kids will toss out when you die.
  15. Please tell me that guy was on the phone and the ball hit him in the head?
  16. Jobu needs a sacrifice. And Jobu would never settle for a stuffed Hank. Ever.
  17. Maybe if the Brewers offered Hank up to some baseball God as a type of sacrifice, we could reach that all important .500 mark by the end of the year, thus reaching the true potential of this team (as constructed).
  18. And the WINNER for taking everything out of context (yet again) goes to.. YOU! Or were you clearly just kidding again? http://community.ebay.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/25611iEAD559F73DCBA1E9?v=mpbl-1
  19. This is the way I see it. Ownership won't allow the team to sink too far down in the loss column, they're going to keep trying to plug holes and it's going to be a "if everything goes right, we can get into the playoffs" type situation. I have zero faith.
  20. How many ambulance chasing attorneys sponsor the Brewers? I'm SO sick of these commercials, but mainly the leeches behind them. Ugh.
