  1. Marcel Ozuna seems like a good fit for the Brewers: high swing and miss guy and will hit some homeruns. No thanks.
  2. It isn't the fact that he attempted the steal...but the fact he didn't have a good jump/lead and had a good chance of getting caught. With DP Lucroy coming up it wasn't the worst idea....but not something you do if have a good chance of getting caught. The rest is laughably overblown because it is Gomez. Lucroy was hitting before Gomez last night, so although he's hit into a ton of double-plays this season, he was in no threat to ground into a game-ending double-play last night.
  3. Gomez attempted to steal second when there were zero outs. He made the first out when he was called out on the attempted steal.
  4. Yah they want OUT of it. Not just transfer it to other crummy players. Two of them being worse pitchers than Shields and one of them with two years left. This proposal is basically making a deal to make a deal, from SD's perspective. Myers is one of the few players they'd probably like to hang onto, unless it were a situation where dealing Myers guaranteed that Shields, Upton, or Kimbrel were also dealt.
  5. How does a major leaguer drop that. I mean, that's really the easiest of plays - a soft liner at shoulder height. The line drives that are rockets can be tough to judge, but that one was soft and a really, really easy play for an outfielder to make. Geez.
  6. This is the first Brewer game I'll be able to watch from the last 10 days.
  7. Knowing what you know now, I urge anyone who still holds Braun in high regards to go on You Tube and re-watch that press conference. It's cringe worthy. Its one thing to make mistakes or have a lapse in judgement. Everyone has done things they regret. However, when you get away with something that you know you did and then have the nads to throw it back in everyone's face with a "See, I told you so" press conference and talk about how everyone is out to get you, that's another thing all together. All he had to do is release a message stating that he was glad with the result, he's glad it's over, and he's looking forward to focusing on baseball. Instead, he basically doubled down. I don't hate Braun, I just lost a ton of respect for him in regards to that whole situation. Also, I'm annoyed by some of the posts that suggest that people are taking it personally. I'm not taking it personally. I don't have to feel personally hurt by someone in order to have a low level of respect for them. This is exactly how I feel about it.
  8. You'd better go ahead and make a reservation at DETOX now.
  9. I thought they changed it a few years ago to use the DH in every game. Could be wrong though. I haven't watched the all star game in years. You would be correct; I just saw that Nelson Cruz will be the DH.
  10. And the first half of the 2015 Brewers' season comes to a merciful conclusion; in fitting fashion, too.
  11. This has been a Brewer M.O. for years. One guy walks on four pitches, the pitcher had clearly been struggling to find command throughout inning before the walk, next guy hacks at first pitch - a borderline strike - and weakly grounds out.
  12. There's nothing quite like playing at Miller Park for the Brewers to fall back into losing ways.
  13. Oh, what do you know? Another double-play by Ramirez.
  14. This should restart "extend nets past the dugout" issue in baseball. The ball must have hit someone in the face.
  15. AJ got fooled, that's actually a pretty good call.
  16. Disappointing end to that inning with Scooter coming up next. I can't say I'm surprised by it.
  17. This inning is far from over, too. Well I guess it ended quicker than I figured it would.
  18. I missed it, I thought Gomez grounded into a double-play. Did he beat it out or what happened?
  19. Was right there on the edge. Looked bad...but it was right there. Looked low to me. Maybe I didn't see it.
