  1. He swung the bat as the ball was being caught. Looked pretty intentional to me - wasn't your "I'm way out in front and the bat slipped out of my hands."
  2. Is Manny Machado the most hated man in baseball? What's not being talked about enough is how Machado hit the A's catcher twice on follow throughs and never apologized. Then was seen smiling as the other catcher was getting into the game, although we don't know just exactly if he was smiling about knocking the A's catcher out of the game. Dude just seems like a total baby.
  3. I heard he threw a bat toward 3B, was it toward Donaldson? I only saw highlights of this weekend but it looked like Machado had beef when Donaldson tagged him, and it looked like a harmless tag. Then they plunked Donaldson? Edit - just saw it. It was supposed to go toward the pitcher, Abad, who was throwing inside. Machado is a clown.
  4. No he did not. McCutchen hit a rocket that he didn't get his glove up for and it went over his head. had he caught the ball, Walker would have been doubled off first as he was running with the pitch. He never booted a grounder.
  5. Weeks didn't have any errors. He made some mistakes but they weren't errors. Carry on.
  6. Holy crap. Are you kidding me with that play?! Thankfully, Rickie didn't throw the ball into the stands.
  7. It still looked low where it crossed the plate. Watching it live, it looked in and low. Granted, Hickocks (sp) has been all over the place today but that was by far the worst call he's made.
  8. That is a terrible call on Martin. Absolutely awful strike 3 call; I'd be livid, too. Well, I knew someone would get tossed today.
  9. So RRR is taking out a righty with Martin up, and bringing in Duke..a lefty? Am I understanding this correctly? Ahh, nevermind. K-Rod.
  10. Those Steins commercials are all brutal, but not nearly as bad as Jerry Garcia's cooking tips. Yikes.
  11. Locke has been pitching really well, but he's really getting a lot of inside strikes called. That strike 3 call to Davis was a joke. When you can pitch in there (and you have to hit your spot) and get it called consistently for a strike, there's not much the hitters can do. If half of those weren't being called strikes, this could look a little different. Then again, the Brewers have helped him out a lot by swinging at a lot of first pitches and hitting weak grounders. Everyone is getting jammed today because they know the pitch is going to be called a strike. It's that way for both pitchers and I don't know if Hickock always calls the inside strike like that but it seems a little much today.
  12. Now the ump's zone has disappeared. Edit - and it's reappeared!
  13. Gomez' tight pants look terrible. I'm sorry, but that look is just gone - and for good reason.
  14. are they reviewing? It looked like Walker may have gotten in, but I think they were reviewing whether or not Lucroy blocked the plate. Either way, Walker is out and it's the top of the 2nd. And who is Gomez chirping at now?
  15. Man, Braun has made some nice throws from right this year. There's the double-play the Brewers needed!
  16. No Sunday lineup today? Segura could probably use a day off sometime soon; it's been a while since he's hit anything hard into the outfield.
  17. You want to read about real tragedies of WWII, read about the Japanese and their invasion/occupation of China.
  18. Burkhalter also said he was going to sign right? I hope he doesn't wind up setting up bowling leagues; a few Vietnam Vets might not roll on Shabbos.
  19. I'll admit I've been a little hard on him. I have to remind myself that he's still producing and having a good season, despite missing the majority of the previous season.
  20. The news of these two signings has made my (Brewer) day. The Big club now needs a W and I'll be a very content Brewer fan.
