  1. Hopefully this translates into a little momentum in the bottom half of this inning should the Brewers escape without giving up a run. Edit - Nevermind. Ugh that one really hurt.
  2. Is Garza in any real danger of losing another game 1-0? Yep, Davidson is ejecting someone tonight. And there it was... HAHAHA I called it on page 1, boys. Called 'er.
  3. I think Bucknor is worse, but Bob Davidson is looking to throw people out of the game, so he gets the overall nod from me.
  4. Bob Davidson (from his wiki): He is consistently voted by players and managers as one of the worst umpires in Major League Baseball, placing fourth-worst in a Sports Illustrated poll in 2011.[2]
  5. Garza throws two identical pitches to Adams. One is called a strike, one is called a ball. Bob Davidson, ladies and gentlemen. He has to be one of the worst umps in MLB - most confrontational, too.
  6. Bob Davidson is working this series? Well, I expect at least one ejection in this three game set.
  7. I can't believe I'm this excited for a non-opening day, Mid-April Monday night Brewer game.
  8. Yes, get another gift from the Pirates and then you have to get too greedy. C'mon.
  9. Scooter struckout swinging and took off running to first. The catcher cleared the runner and went to throw out Gennett and threw the ball into RF and both Ramirez and Overbay scored with Gennett moving to 3rd. It was awesome.
  10. HAHAHA You almost knew that was coming the way that play developed. Wow.
  11. Almost on the knee. I'm sure that hurt but that's not an awful place to get hit - if you've got to get hit by a pitch.
  12. The Brewers are backwards when the opponent is trying to steal second. That should have been Scooter's base to cover, not Segura's. The same thing happened last night when it should have been Segura covering. Wow, that was a hose from Gomez.
  13. The defense has shown up today. The thing about Segura's slump is not so much that he's just not getting hits, it's how he's been hacking at just about everything and rolling the ball over. Thankfully he's not depended on as a big run producer, but it the lack of line drives off his bat is a bit concerning - to me at least. Everything seems like a soft roller to an infielder - granted he was robbed by Ishikawa in the 1st.
  14. Wow, that was an awesome play by Segura. Hopefully that translates into some nice AB's.
  15. So I've got the Rays/Reds on before the Brewer game starts. Two things to mention - both happened in the bottom of the 2nd. One: Thom Brennaman says "No one, and I mean NO ONE, is pitching like the Atlanta Braves (pause)... this side of the Milwaukee Brewers. Atlanta's team ERA is 2.(something) and Milwaukee's is 1.(something)." - I love when people say things like that, and then they have to add that there actually IS a team or person doing better. Oh well. And two: the Reds beat the Pirates in "baserunning bloopers" by having two runners thrown out at home on the same play. Well done.
  16. Outstanding. I work in a predominantly male work center - come to think of it, there are only five females out of 500 - and the jokes we play on the, uh, less aware individuals are pretty funny. This just gave me an idea of what to do for a new guy we have coming in in a few weeks.
  17. Sort of feels like they stole that one away from the Pirates. I'll definitely take it!
