  1. If they would have yelled to Utley to throw to 1st he the inning would have been over.
  2. Why... why.. is it so necessary to always use some sort of squeeze play with a runner on third and less than two out with anyone other than Braun or Ramirez at the plate?
  3. Thanks - your approval is important to me. Someone just let me know when the games start to mean something again so I can come back here and point to this one as the one exception when it didn't matter. I hope we get a stud player because our pitcher couldn't go out after 7 IP, 87 pitches, 3H and no BB. I'm done with this argument.
  4. So another inning after cruising after 14 straight would have been too much? If you're showcasing a pitcher you take him out when he's in a groove? I can complain about a lot of things this year - Manny Parra being one of them.. or that Cesar Isturis keeps getting as much playing time as he does.. or that Tim Dillard saw meaningful innings earlier in the year. Manny Parra is not the only part of this team worth complaining about.
  5. Who cares? This season is trashed anyways. No need to lower ZG's trade value by letting him implode in the 8th. Time to start rebuilding. I always love this argument. Yes, who cares about wins. We can't make the playoffs - or it's unlikely - so lets just completely give up. Sounds like something someone who never played competitive sports said.
  6. This is the ONLY thing that makes any sense to me. Sure, he hasn't pitched in 9 days.. but was he really tired after those 3 starts "in a row". He didn't throw THAT many pitches in those days. 87 pitches tonight and was absolutely cruising and gets yanked. It wouldn't be a problem if you had even a halfway decent bullpen, but the Brewers do not and it cost them the victory.
  7. Nyjer Morgan has a terrible throwing arm. This is not a surprise, but wow is it bad.
  8. I'm sorry, but I can't be the only one who is annoyed with your posts and you've been posting for a while. Would it kill you to give the extra 20 seconds to put a period or capitalize when needed? I feel like you have decent things to say but I can't take what you say seriously because it looks like a 13 year old girl texted her response to the board. All the Brewers have done is put their cards on the table. This is more for the fans than anything so that when they trade Zack they've covered their butts. If Zack resigns - cool. If he's traded for prospects - cool. If he's lost at the end of the year via FA - cool. DM knows that the year is basically lost so he's not going to just let ZG go for nothing. If he doesn't get a deal he likes he'll hang onto him knowing full well that ZG will go to FA. That's fine with me. This is a slow moving process and time of year when we all want what is best for the organization. Have faith, fans! All is well.
  9. Adding Mench to that trade wasn't what made it a bad deal. What made it a bad deal was the amount of playing time Mench received. Add to that the ridiculous coverage his entrance into the park received as well as Daron Sutton's typical over-dramatic commentary on the situation made it that much worse.
  10. You're right.. all it took was for Loe to bare down a little harder to get the out. If he can't than he shouldnt be in the majors. So does the "he can't bare down" argument work every time a pitcher gives up runs? After all, it only takes a little more concentration to get outs in MLB. Nothing about facing the best hitters or concentrating yet not executing, etc..
  11. You could insert any member of our bullpen in 2012 and it would not be a shocker.
  12. You're right.. all it took was for Loe to bare down a little harder to get the out.
  13. Dangit, I can't get the game on MLBtv. For those of you in this thread, detailed updates would be appreciated.
  14. Some of your guys' hate for RR really clouds your baseball judgement.
  15. True, but I don't care about those teams. You always sort of wish fans of your favorite team were above that stuff, but that's never the case.
  16. Oh, that is it. I know that fluky injury stories have in the past been floated to cover up embarrassing accidents, but there is zero justification for that kind of backlash, no matter what happened. I'd better not cross paths with any of those "fans" ever. That kind of stuff makes me embarrassed to be a fan of the same team as those people.
  17. "That's gonna hurt" - you can't get this analysis anywhere, folks!
  18. Middle in - just above the knees.. yeah.. I can see why Conrad would take that pitch. What's he 0-fer now?
