  1. Wow, that was a bomb from Rickie. I woke up because my mouth hurt from my freakin' wisdom teeth and decided to turn on the game and they score. Maybe I'll stick around for a minute or two.
  2. Yay, hit number 2 for the Brewers. Yippee. The next pitch will be the last out of the game.
  3. This is getting comical. There is a big blowup about to happen with this team, I can just feel it. Someone is going to go crazy either on an umpire, or in the dugout.
  4. Heh, bout time someone gets tossed from this team.
  5. The Marlins don't grow older as a team. Players grow older and are traded for more prospects, so they are always going to be one of the younger teams. However, if they added 1 or 2 solid veterans in the season before their young studs hit FA or last years of arbitration then they'll be good like in 2003.
  6. I was just about to post the same thing. This game in particular, it just feels like this team has no energy. Maybe it's playing in Florida where there are no fans, or the announcers even (Brian and Bill), but everything just seems tired and not interested in baseball.
  7. What was that crap? Was he playing the play at the plate or what?
  8. Hmm, my foot is tasting pretty good. So much for that ugly inning I was talking about.
  9. This inning is starting to get sort of ugly.
  10. I'd say that first inning is a pretty good sign that the offense is coming around. 2 pop-outs and a strike out looking. Not too bad. Hopefully Prince can hit it to one of the outfielders next inning.
  11. Agreed on Trenni, she looks much better with her hair up. Yahoo for girls. The Brewers' website also sucks the big one, is it really necessary to have high lights playing, a scrolling menu, and other crap that's going to slow down or freeze your browser? I blame Yost for that one.
  12. I got the wisdom teeth out yesterday, and I was lucky enough to get some free leave so it looks like I can stay up late and watch this game with tomorrow off. Woo hoo. Don't disappoint me Brewers, I wish it was game time already!!
  13. The Brewers aren't consistent at all, and in my eyes that makes them not a good team. Not a bad team either, but not a good team. I think if they gain consistency on offense and get even a little bit of pitching they could be good to great, but that Gallardo injury still stings me today. I thought with he and Sheets our rotation was good, and that our offense would come around with the bullpen and defense being hit or miss. Some days it could be great other days junk. I've really tried not to have any type of knee-jerk reactions with Gallardo's injury, in another thead on another part of this forum a poster said he (or she) would wait a few more starts until they thought whether or not this team needed a trade. I can agree with that, though my opinion on whether or not this team needs a trade means diddly poo since Melvin knows (hopefully) when a trade needs to be made. It's way too early for teams to give up anything without giving up all of our Minor League studs. I think we could see a real rough stretch for the Crew here, somebody needs to step up - both offensively and pitching wise - and get some confidence rolling throughout this team so they start playing like they're capable of for a stretch of 10-20 games.
  14. How are some of you shaving, which directions I mean. I don't have a real thick wolf-man beard or anything but I never get irritation and my skin is very sensitive. On the neck you can't shave against the grain of your hair until you shave with the grain first, same goes for the rest of my face. I have to shave my face twice basically each time I shave which is everyday. I go down on the face, and up on the neck. Then repeat going up on the face and pulling the razor towards my chin on my neck. It only takes a few extra minutes and after letting the shaving cream sit on my face for a minute or two the hair comes off much easier. Just my two cents! Good luck with the razor burn Bmuch.
  15. The microphone's are doing a pretty good job of picking up the hecklers.
  16. Give him a break, he's had a 2 year long month I shouldn't laugh because I'm sure that was something that was really bothering Tejada until he finally spilled the beans about his real age, but that's funny.
  17. Wow, that 1-2 pitch to Corey was a gift that was called a ball. I thought it was too close to take, BUT the next pitch was hit to left for a lead. Hurray. 1-0.
  18. They must not have been able to work out their contract with FSN Wisconsin. Since there was such a high demand for UCLA baseball UCLA thought that the money they were getting from FSN Wisconsin was too little. Shucks, looks like it's bask to Milwaukee Brewer baseball.
  19. I'm really excited for this game. For a couple reasons, mainly being that I want to see how Sheets looks today after that stinker in Chicago.
  20. Yep, not on for me. Looks like some Pac10 sport. I can see how there would be a strong interest to show PAC10 sports in Wisconsin, afterall .. it is pretty close to the west coast...
  21. I know that I definitely did not get the game, but I didn't check the listings either. I'll check to see if there is a pregame, if there even is one for WMLW.
  22. TVguide's website says that the game will be on in Madison if you have Charter communications as your provider. I have to stay up real late to watch this game, so I hope that I don't stay up late just to catch the latest fishing trip from Jim Randomdude rather than the Brewer game.
  23. The problem with Sabathia is that he's a FA at the end of the year if I am remembering correctly. I'd hate to give up some of the young talent for a rental. Now if we traded for him, and then signed him to a deal I would go with it. However, I doubt that the Brewers would be willing to pony up the cash to sign him.
  24. What really steams me is some of those clowns on northsidebaseball. I wanted to rip them apart in their thread but they locked it. Many of them blaming Yost, as if Gallardo tore his ACL when he resumed pitching. Folks, a tore ACL is just that.... it's not going to hurt it to play more (certainly not going to heal) and it needs surgery to correct. It's not like he tore it the following inning. He tore it during the collision. Duh. One of those ... guys... over there posted "hahahaha" in his post. Really? Ugh, I just want to find a Cubs fan and punch him in the face.
  25. No. Whatever his knee problem was in spring training it was fixed. His problem yesterday was typical of people who tear their ACL or other knee ligament. It hurts right away and then it feels fine to the point where you can play on it - this is what I was told by a friend who was a UW qb for a while. You can feel the initial pop but after that it's fine. At MRI time you're no good.
