  1. 23-10. Awesome to hear that as the Brewers' record.
  2. Craig Koshun: "There's the first out in the 9th inning" as So Taguchi reaches first on an infield single.
  3. Is he throwing for the Yankees tonight? I knew he was going to get a start this week, or thought he was. Was tonight the night? That's impressive regardless.
  4. Hardy is absolutely killing the ball, how awesome is this guy right now?
  5. What an awesome inning so far. Good base running there by Jenkins to get into second.
  6. Well I've never seen Cabrera with a goatee, or any other kind of facial hair. He seems pretty baby-faced, not that he can't grow anything. And as far as the dress code goes, dressing nice should hardly be a concern. Other than that I don't know what other rules there are, like you stated in your post. I just think that he's probably obliging by the Yankees rules now without even trying while he's playing for the Marlins. Unless he's getting on planes wearing crappy t-shirts and cut off shorts.
  7. Great start by Soup. And as I speak Counsell gets a hit off another lefty. Get some runs in the 9th here!! Also, just happened to switch to ESPN, BBTN was on and they were talking about the Brewers. Eric Young had some good things to say about all areas that are going well so far for the Brewers: team ERA, team BA, better D by Weeks, good Bullpen, all areas that we have realized seem to be improved from last year.
  8. Did they just say that Ned Yost broke his collarbone today jogging in Chicago?
  9. They are. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif *edit: After the 1-6-4 DP, they called a Soriano double. Whichever poster that was must really be steaming at this point. Let's get out of this right now Suppan.
  10. Sometimes I like going over to northsidebaseball and reading their in game threads. Things I've read: "2-0 now, game over" "Might as well walk Hall, the game is over." They are about as negative as you can get, but at the least it's entertaining.
  11. Princey! Yes, he loves the Cubs. Nothing like an 0-2 homerun.
  12. Thank goodness we're facing one of the lightest hitters in the game right now in Cedeno.
  13. Just said it, left knee contusion. They say he's day - to - day right now.
  14. Hell yeah Geoff! Woo hoo, what a play. I just yelled out loud, usually I don't do it but there I had to.
  15. Huge strikeout, great pitching by Villanueva there. DeRosa just looked silly on the 3-1 pitch and then was blown away on 3-2.
  16. Ah crap, 4 pitch walk. Here comes Yost to give Villanueva an earful.
  17. Wow that was an awesome play by Hardy.
  18. I'm just puzzled, Yost is doing the Cubs a favor.
  19. And now another lefty with Craig Counsell, @#%$ is going on here? Am I missing something, are our righties on the bench not available?
  20. I'm not really understanding the move to take out Wise either, especially to bring in another righty. Perhaps it will be explained later but some posters on here. Frustration level is pretty high right now.
  21. Wise couldn't go. He had pitched 2 consecutive days. So if anything the Brewers' starting pitching had 'made the bed'. Sheets on Sunday didn't last long, either did Capuano, or Bush. Not to say the latter two had bad outings, but they didn't get very deep into the game. Sheets had a sub-par outing, the bullpen had been worked pretty extensively in the past few games. It sucks but I don't think there was much Yost could do besides stick with Aquino, or throw Dessens in a crucial spot. That or keep Shouse in against the right handed batter, which is a an obvious call to go to the RHP. It's just hard for me to blame Yost on this one, he made some good moves with the baserunners to score some runs. The bullpen was just over-worked, hopefully tomorrow our starter gets into the 7th. Some of them could use the rest.
  22. I didn't feel safe at 4-3 in the 6th either, specially having to go the bullpen that early. In that ballpark it's a recipe for disaster, at least it seems like it has been for the Brewers.
  23. Oh no, it's Ann Carroll. Run away!!
  24. Elmer Dessens is.... not good. In fact, he's downright bad. I can't imagine he's going to be with us for very much longer. Two nights in a row he's looked awful.
